Played the demo already. I am a all-time FF7 fan. However, I am disappointed with the battle system. I dislike FF15 due to the gameplay. Now I am even more disappointed with the FF7 remake.

I still prefer the gameplay for FF7 original and FF10.

Lucky I never buy the first class edition.

Now I won’t even buy this game at all.

Too fast pace for u?

I get that it’s gonna be different and I felt like it was a button mashing fest throughout.

There's a charm in traditional turn based rpg. It started all the way from NES era, but the hype died down last gen in favour for more action. I don't mind the fast pace battle, but this ain't DMC, no Bayonetta, or GOW. This is a final fantasy, and when they changed the battle system from 15 onwards, ff7 dies with it.

Thank god for DQ, and Persona.

The battle system is a total failure.

I like FF7 original story, game play and everything.

And I am looking forward the same things for the remake. It is all about the nostalgic feeling towards the game. Now they took away the most important battle system. No way for me to buy it.

The ATB is a crap.

But I saw the have the classic option as well. Didn’t try that but isn’t that similar to the original ff7 approach?

It's an insult to ATBS. An insult to FF7.

An insult to my intelligence.

I've watched a couple spoiler-ish let's play videos to see the overall game pacing, battle mechanics, expanded storyline and it has left me convinced that it's a worthwhile trip down nostalgia lane to place a pre-order with HeavyArm today even though the early adopter price is pretty steep at RM244 + shipping fees.

I haven't played the demo personally to have a feel but i'm willing to skip it and jump right into the full game/Part 1 installment instead.

Although it's not a guarantee that HeavyArm will post it on 10 April and that it will be delivered by either mid April or end of April, it's yet to be determined by the current lockdown. Goodluck to those who get their physical copy delivered early!

did the gameshop say when the distributor is getting the stock and custom clearance?

if late 1 or 2 days, means delay to next Mon/Tuesday since no delivery/postage on Sunday

Too fast pace for old man like me and can't enjoy fight scenes as I need to strategize for multiple enemies/attacks and control characters at the same time. Died once fighting scorpion boss, beat it on 2nd try.

Most likely will try classic mode when game is released.

Looks good in HDR and no noticeable frame rate drop.

My question is how much story is covered in one data disc and one play disc?

Thanks. Will go for normal edition. If 4 releases, man it's the most expensive game I've played

It's a good action + strategy game. Combos of physical attack, magic, brave attacks, atb and different enemies to be dealt differently, traps

Small things I noticed like slide down the stairs

I made a huge mistake (albeit it is not entirely on me IMO). Had finally decided to pre-order digitally, thinking that soon there will be a queue or some sort before the release. Went to the main page in PS Store and pre-ordered right away...only to realise that I bought the version with the wrong language!

Playstation should've put all the options under What's Hot instead of just the Chinese/Korean version. It is the first thing you see under that page, and the main title does not even indicate what language will it be in doh.gif It is only after a friend of mine pointed it out that they have different versions under All Games.

I have made a short video to portray this frankly silly and inconvenient issue;

Nice to know that I wasnt the only one: https://www.reddit.com/r/PS4/comments/fcnxz8/final_fantasy_vii_language_issue/

TLDR:
-Playstation did not indicate that the version in PS Store is Chinese/Korean

I agree with you. Though I am ok with FF15, somehow I still enjoy turn based RPGs like Dragon Quest. Currently enjoying DQ 11.
