If each episode can provide content that lasts as one full game then likely will be full priced. Question is how to compare? God of war lasts 10 hrs or less and full price. FF series lasts 50+ hrs also full price.

Don't worry too much bout price and the fact they call it episode just makes us thinks it's a short game. Case in point Last of Us Part 1 is full price but actually only part of a game since it's called part 1 (part 2 just announced. )

Read somewhere says it will come in 2 discs for 2 episodes. Lets see.

I get that it’s gonna be different and I felt like it was a button mashing fest throughout.

But I saw the have the classic option as well. Didn’t try that but isn’t that similar to the original ff7 approach?

As someone who played ff7 game more than 20 years ago, then watched ff7 advent children and played FF 7 Crisis Core (and 100% it if there's such thing), i think the new remake so far (i'm until chapter 14) is a nice story rpg.

For sure i will remember now what happened to the avalanche members (i cant 20 years ago), and other subplots and despite the linearity (even ff7 original was linear prior to the open world post-midgar - and even then its still somewhat linear as it just offer the illusion of walking around a green patch of grass), it's worth the RM 200+ ringgit to pay for day one one of this game (like watching 10-15 movies).

My only concern now is with the other Episodes coming up, will we get to bring our higher level characters for the ride as we are investing so much in them. If it does (my minimum expectation is level and majority of materia remains the same), then all the more for Part 2 & 3. If its gonna be like FF13 style of parts 2 & 3, then may think twice for day one purchase.

I'm not sure, how good the AI can be. Was trying out classic mode to grind some experience at the colloseum. Slow as molasses. have to intervene so many times just to get them moving

No its not turn based. There is no turn based in this game. Its just AI control and you can step in anytime to cast spells or perform ATB skills.

Now left pride and joy trophy and hard mode. Will do p&j than speed run thru.

Not really trophy hunting this days. Just play games I like which will plat. Like recent nioh 2

I beat before doing hard mode. So i can get the item and speed through hard mode. For P & J I prepared the following :

1. All characters lvl 50 (grind in colosseum, senang in classic auto mode)
2. HP UP, Magic UP, MP Up materias (around 3 -4 star range)
3. Cloud, Barret, Aerith team up with cloud having elemental fire protection (absorb).
4. Try to go into Bahamut fight with full MP ( ie minimize spell casts and use pray often), and reserve those MPs for healing and manawalls. His umbral aura is a killer.
5. P & J is easy slow and backstab all the way.

Took me 3-4 tries (all fail at bahamut fight) before nailing it as i fine tuned the materia. Earlier was using elemental ice protection, but i practice dodging Shiva's attacks (pretty simple in the end to avoid the blizza & whiteout spells).

Just finish hard mode and platted the game. Lucky did the top secret battle first. Gotterdamrung makes a world of difference in both regular and boss battles.

One or two bosses did require an extra try or 2 which means if didn’t carry that accessory gonna be even more difficult

Already platted and ignore my last 2 manuscripts for time being as have to play chapter 8 and 9 again. Don’t have to beat hell house , just do quests and will get it.

My turn off is the long walk at the start of the chapter! That takes even longer than rushing thru the side quests 😅

Oh damn forgot that. SO fast lol after platting the game.

Unless there's a dlc coming or stuff carrying forward, no point 100% the game then.

Share play has some lag. May not be so easy for those who try to help you.

I love this rhythmic games and used to it since days of Crisis Core. Just keep at it and train you finger muscle memory. I always come back to this type of mini games to relax.

Exactly what above guy said. I’ve been on ps plus since inception and there’s no way to pay An ‘upgrade’ price for ps plus games that are free. The ownership is different as u don’t own ps plus games (only available to u as long as u subscribe).
