anyone sucess to paid aoen (through citibank) with Inter-bank Funds Transfer (IBFT)? my cimb clicks got problem and can't login..

Ya its true, the member card and Aeon CC is indeed separated that's why they still give you the normal member card. But for sake of convenience and not bring 2 cards out, they attach the member card details into our CC. Besides that both cards functions separately.

I was at Sri Lanka and was trying to charge my Aeon CC, weird thing is the hotel doesnt have the chip transaction so all it uses is the magnetic swipe to make the transaction. My Aeon rejected the charge with Invalid while other cards went through. Called their customer service and they told me dont use magnetic as it is not compatible, i questioned him why other bank CC can go through and Aeon cant? If cant then just remove the magnetic strip in your card. He just keep quiet and ignorant insisting magnetic swipe doesnt work or not stable. So guys please take note when ure overseas and being charged using magnetic swipe. I am checking out from a 4star hotel fyi.

So will need to renew it every year despite using the credit card right?

Maybank has. There are 15 participating banks, I have shared the list in the general thread.

Just that it's not valid for Aeon. I believe if it's a normal Citibank account (not Aeon), IBFT will work.

So for next 3 months IBFT is free while IBG is charged 11 sen (inclusive of GST) right?

Not valid for AEON as i think it's different entity to bank and maybe just partner of Citi.

Yes, that's right. So, these three months no need to use GIRO for any interbank transfers. However, for Aeon still need to use GIRO.

means you wont get to use all the points in your aeon member card if expired. Your aeon credit card still can use like normal.

ya if it expires, so better make sure it is not expired to get aeon points.

Do you swipe "AEON MEMBER CARD" at the cashier's terminal to earn AEON MEMBER points ? Or do they swipe the NEW AEON Gold at the cashier terminal ?

Aeon member card is with my mum, i swipe using aeon gold cc for points.

Now even without the physical card, we still can provide the aeon membership number to the cashier if we can recall the number.

wow really ? then can just snap a pic of the number and keep it for handy use as well incase forgot member card and credit card
