people will ask you got any tao wan sen hing or not, as actually asking do you sick?

sick means not feeling well, under the weather or generally unsure of your medical condition. i would say this in cantonese as 'mmm she fook'.

what the hell is ' do you sick' ?

you better talk more cantonese with different type of cantonese speaker.
there are many way to ask people weather they sick or not.

"tao wan sen hing" is normally used to ask people "do you sick" in a informal conversion.

in cantonese, Sick or Feeling unwell can use the word as below:-
1. ng sui fuk
2. fat bang
3. Bang jor
4. tar bai jeong
5. tao wen sen hing
6. etc

even ipoh and kl cantonese speaker will have different way to speaking it. Do not talk about those in HK and China.
This is the reason why cantonese so hard to learn and understand.

Arthritis is Guan Jit Yim 关节炎

Fung Sup Baeng is rheumatic

Arthritis is much more serious till you joint can become out of shape, rheumatic is more of pain only.

Usually Khat (Cough) would followed by asking whether there is phlegm come with the cough.

Khat yao tham mou (do the cough come with phlegms.

Mou Tham mean No Phlegm.

If the answer is "Yao" or "Yao Tham" mean there is phlegm, then follow by asking this.

Tham meh ngan shek (what is the colour of the phlegm ?)

Wong Shek (Yellow coloured)
Cheng Shek (Greenish Coloured)
Pak Shek (White or translucent)
Yao Heut (Mean there is trace of blood)

Flu=siong foong... runny nose=lau bei tai/sui

Flu is more like cold, headache, slight itchiness and may include running nose (the official term, runny nose is American).

Running nose is your nose keep dripping non-stop. Might not be due to cold, but allergy etc. Sometimes there are mornings I sneeze non-stop or just have running nose but other than that, completely fine.

This one not medical doctor can't help, need to see kungfu master.
