Am going to korek all my balance HKD & SGD and bring to Japan. Since both currency already increase alot for the last 2 years. Tis behavior a bit odd but hopefully can neutralise the lost in exchanging MYR with JPY now.
*
wei, good idea wor...I have a bunch of SGD here...if I change it to yen, in Japan better or in Malaysia?

Hi guys

Sorry if this has been answered before.
But I'm planning a 8 night trip to Japan with my gf (3nights in Osaka and 5 nights in Tokyo)
Would 20kg of baggage allowance (Air Asia) per person be enough? Should I get 25? 30?

How much did you guys need? Thanks in advance!
*
me and my hubby shared 25kg....

Around 2x Celsius
Price won't be much different. Maybe few hundred Yen differences.
By taking train it will be 40 minute journey. That 40 minute can do alot thing in Osaka too.
One thing must remember, Limited Express train won't stop at Rinku Town Station. Must take normal Airport line.
If you never been there before. Can give it a try. If Me, I wont spend that 40 minute going that Rinku Town.

If you going back to Malaysia from Kansai Airport, it just 20 minute ride from shuttle Bus. If got alot time to spare, why not?
*
I've not been there and my flight back is 11pm++
So I was thinking to drop by Rinku since i'll be taking Nankai. then got shuttle bus direct to airport from rinku town?
Got lockers there for me to keep my luggage right?

Ya, plus those shop only can sit 8 ppl. Night time whole area will full of people. Everyone will come here lepak for beer and snack. 15 years ago same, 15 years later also same.
*
I really love the environment of those small eating shops where you can see the locals sitting at the counter chatting drinking beer and enjoying snack food...and inside can smoking too!

I tried to claim back tax refund at Haneda airport somehow it failed as the immigration officer removed my purchase receipt clipped with the passport. Also I couldn't find any tax refund counter at departure hall. Anyone having the same problem too?
*
huh...i thought when you purchase something at a shop, the tax refund is done immediately at that shop....

There are no tax refund counters. Purchases at duty free prices can be made at the duty free stores.

Please show your record of purchase along with your passport at the Customs counter when departing. MAP
(The record of purchase will be collected at Customs.)

I will be in Tokyo for 7 days.
Then making a day trip to Kawaguchiko and Hakone.
Should I get Suica or JR Pass?
notworthy.gif
*
You only need JR Pass if you travel out of Tokyo then back to Tokyo i.e. Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Nagano, Gifu...
If you are not going to these place, then your JR pass would not pay off...

Hi, i planning to do this
Tokyo -> Lake Kawaguchiko -> Tokyo.
Will be spending one night in Lake Kawaguchiko.

However, i would like to make a pit stop to hakone, and visit the Hakone area before checking in hotel in Lake Kawaguchiko. I also want to visit the gotemba outlet while i'm at it.

My question is, is it sufficient to cover so all of these place in 2D1N? or should i extend another night in lake kawaguchi and use the Fuji Hakone Pass to travel between this 2 place?
*
do you know that hakone and lake kawaguchiko is like in the opposite directions? It's not near.......
