saw that you are going nozawa onsen. would like to ask if you would recommend any ryokans or hotels with kashikiri? I have did some digging but cant find much on nozawa onsen for kashikiri.

I am still torn between nozawa and nikko yumoto.

I will be going from Osaka - Kyoto - Nagoya - Tokyo.
15 days trip.

very informative. the only obstacle i am facing now is that i am hoping to be able to catch snow in the onsen towns during end of march.

I love the Rotenburo la , but still cant accept the super onsen mentality where u dont need to bother about anyone looking at you.

I am going to be a first time for onsen, hence why the search for kashikiri onsen. There are loads of nice kashikiri onsen just difficult to find one that ticks all the boxes.

If want best outdoor onsen which just beside river, it will be Takaragawa Onsen. Which I post my most ''powerful'' picture ever in here once.

Anyone know during winter, in average what is the timing for last train in osaka? Will they stop operation earlier for winter?

My hubby will be going for concert at Festival Hall Osaka (end about 11pm). Our earlier plan was to stay Namba for 5 nites, but now he plan to go for concert, so thinking should we move hotel to Umeda (or around Festival Hall) for that last 2 nite for his convenient. Concert on 4th nite.

is it a idea if I go Osaka during winter which is (1-8 degree c), so I wear normal jacket from Msia and only buy winter clothes in japan?
my concern is nicer quality, nicer design and maybe... cheaper price.

Actually for the past few years, yen is quite good rate. But now RM diving crazily daily, certainly not good time to trade most (or any) foreign currency.

Anyway, yen still affordable .. come to think of paying 100yen buying Daiso stuff compare paying RM5.30 here.. you will know you can afford the holiday still.

Luckily I still have 80k yen from my previous trip. Accommodation already paid in advance so not going to be hit much. But hopefully the rate becomes better by the end of this year.
