HD559 impedance is 50ohm and your Sound Blaster Z has a headphone amp capable to drive 600 ohm headphone.
So just enjoy it  icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks bro

enough for the volume for sure. But if you're looking for better sounding amp, there are better options.

I don't think E10K will be better than your Sound Blaster Z. You will need something like SDAC/O2.
I suggest that you don't spend the money first. If you already like it then why spend the extra?

You can check out the Sound BlasterX G6 if you want external.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I see the Sound BlasterX G6 has some features for gaming (e.g. scout mode, etc), which I might not need it.
Is there any alternatives without those features which might results in lower price?

And I noticed there is a sentence in the official website stated "Dolby Digital decoding is available via optical connection".
I am not using optical connection, so does that mean I won't be able to get Dolby surround effect?

Hi guys, im about to buy the Sennheiser HD 559. is it my creative sound blaster z pci-e enough for it? Thanks in advance
*
The Sound Blaster Z has an output impedance of 22 Ohms... So I wouldn't really recommend pairing it with the Sennheiser HD 559 with a low impedance of 50 Ohms.

Does Fiio Q1 Mark ii work well with android phones, particularly OP6? Heard about it draining batteries if you plug it to android phones.

having combined slot for both usb-dac and charging port definitely drain any phone batteries but not sure how bad.

Hi guys, i am currently planning to do voice-controlled whole house audio.

Source: Echo Dot 3
Equipment: Yamaha Ceiling Speaker NS-IC800 (8 Ohms, 140 watts)
Requirement: Class AB Multi-Zone Amplifier (1 pair of speaker each zone, only need 4 zones) with auto-sensing.
Budget: Preferably below RM 3000 or slightly over

Echo Dot 3 (in the ceiling) in each zone will be connected via RCA cables to the amp which will in turn power the ceiling speaker in the respective zone.

Looked at Emotiva A-800 or Russound D850 but the local shops are all selling almost double the price of what i could get overseas + taxes.

Was hesitating because no warranty coverage so would like to ask if amplifiers are generally easy to repair?

Will go for Dayton Audio MA1240a, Monoprice 6 Zone or OSD Audio MX1260 if it's easy to repair.

Otherwise, any alternatives to the above with local warranty? Like 2x Onkyo amplifiers with 2 zones each or brands with decent comparable quality?

Thanks.

Hi guys. I'm thinking of is it any worth upgrading or not.

Here's my daily setup
PC>Behringer UMC22>Edifier S530D
Using a pair of 1/4 unbalanced cable to RCA

It's been serving me well but never really fancy the distorted headroom when i push volume more than 60% (Tested with a Yamaha CL5 and the distortion is from my behringer interface)

So I'm looking for a simple DAC below RM600
Currently found these few options while window shopping. Don't know much about it.
-TOPPING D10 DAC
-Fiio E10K (Loved the volume knob)
-SMSL M3 USB
-SMSL SD-793II

and lastly
-Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
-Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB

Many thanks.

I love my Grace SDAC, it is very good IMO. I had Fiio E10K & Stoner Acoustics UD125. The Grace SDAC is better marginally.

Got mine from shopee for RM680 with free shipping but that was 5 months ago

Try look for khadas tone board, schiit modi 3, powerdac v2 or 9038s. Great value IMO and under your budget
