Welcome to the club lol. For gaming GSX1000 is fine, not so much for music though. If your priority is gaming then GSX1000, if a good balance i'd go for a proper dac/amp instead.

I use it mainly for my mmorpg.. Only once in awhile for Cs go and pubg.. Usually will be playing ffxiv and listening to Sawano Hiroyuki tongue.gif

And thanks.. Haha.. Feels like I'm late to the party..
Any dac amps to recommend? Budget around 1-1.5k.. Won't buy so soon.. Just keeping an eye out. Hmm.. Just curious.. Is HD6xx really like what other say that it's worth it?

Sounds like gaming is a priority? If so GSX1000 is great with their DSP capabilities.
HD6XX is great for the price, but also depends on the type of sound signature you like. I like it less with orchestra/classical/epic soundtrack types and some others due to their overly warm/thick sound with rolled off highs and slightly congested soundstage. But with vocals, etc it is quite engaging and immersive.
As for gaming, it'll be either a hit or a miss depending on your preference and the type of game. I would have preferred a bigger soundstage with more extension in the highs.

The amp/dac dont really required to be a gaming one or GSX1000's DSP capabilities. my game has quite some decent music.. so I dont reall mind getting a good amp than a gaming amp.. Gaming amp aint really a priority just something I thought I should get at first..
Is there any other options from GSX 1000? Dont really need to be gaming amp , Im using the Mixamp Pro now.. and am really eager to switch this thing out haha

Within your price range, Schiit stack, Audio-GD NFB11, Aune Stack, SMSL, Topping stack, JDS Element, etc. Whether you like their synergy with the 6XX, that I do not know tongue.gif

You can research more on the brands above to see which you prefer.

Hey all. Got an lcd-x here and I need an amp/dac to push these. Budget around 3k. Can do all in one or separate. Preferably with balanced outs.

LCD-X that's a very good headphone.

i'm thinking to get LCD-2 or X but still deciding...

i don't own that headphone but i did try it before and i love it soooooo much.

i tried it with Chord Mojo, Oppo ha2se and ifi micro idsd black before.

what i can say is Oppo is good, just enough....

Chord Mojo another level up oppo and it's good too.

but for me i just like the sound of ifi micro idsd black...

my friend say but i never try it before best pair with Chord Hugo2 and perfect!

hope this might help

For planar, I'll still recommend to go for a destop set up. An amp with enough power will drive them to a different level. I like to pair planar with Audio-GD. It can provide powerful output for planar magnetic.

For portable wise, Hugo 2 definitely is a good choice. The amp is quite nice already, but the strong point still the DAC section. You still can use it as a DAC and connect it to another destop amp if feeling the power is not enough. smile.gif

Yup this is the photo of NFB-1amp (simplified version of the flagship Master-9). I just sold the demo of old version NFB28. Will bring in the new demo maybe next month tongue.gif

If you just looking for an amp, I will more recommend NFB-1amp (balance) or C2 (single-ended version).
If don't have a DAC, then the NFB28 or 29 will be a very nice all-in-one set up. Both of the DAC and amp are strong (most of the all-in-one devices are more to DAC, amp soso), even can drive monster headphone like HD800, HE-1000, Audeze quite nice.

Any plans to bring in more DAC/amp brands?
Soekris 1541 looks interesting for the price.

Can try Cayin C5dac or Sony PHA-1A.
The former more solid and punchy, comes with powerful amp.
The latter support iPhone, also warm sound but slightly more refined.

Guys, just got myself a pair of AKG K7XX from massdrop. Please suggest me an amp. Prefer a cheaper one for the time being.
Googled around and found some reviews on Fiio E10K Olympus 2. What do you guys think about this one?

Source: PC (Mostly 16bit 44kHz FLAC/24bit 44kHz FLAC/320kbps Mp3)
Equipment: AKG K7XX Massdrop Edition
Requirement: Just looking for that little bit of extra oomph for now.
Budget: Around RM500. Cheaper the better.

I took a risk and bought a Breeze Audio E17 with a AK4490 dac. Best value-for-money i've spent so far. Hard to find though, ordered mine from china via aliexpress.

Hey guys,
Just bought custom DAC, brand not sure (Flymusic or Alieneye).

192Khz / 32-Bit output is good enough?

For Amplifier, have you all tried Primaluna Prologue Classic Integrated amplifier?

The original PrimaLuna integrateds, the ProLogue One and Two, have reached cult status and are now a collectible that will no doubt be iconic in the years to come. Some are going so far as to call them "The Marantz 8B of our time". The multi-award winning ProLouge One was in a recommended system called "Tube Nirvana" by The Absolute Sound's Robert Harley. Stereophile's Art Dudley stated "Lustily, heartily, and enthusiastically...recommended." The ProLogue Two was loved the world over in review after review.

Stoner Acoustic is currently offer group buy of their ud125 DAC/AMP combo on lowyat, with custom casing for Malaysian only, MOQ is 100 units

Bought one and then bought another used unit from a forumer who was letting it go.

After listening to Xonar ST for so long, found it really hard to believe how much colored Xonar really sounds.
