I bought Preference share of 12%-18% guarantee dividend every year.
Preference Share of Naim indah Mutiara Capital Bhd  where Legally Guarantee By Naim Indah & Dato Alex Siaw (Managing Director of Naim indah Corporation Bhd (NICORP).
The point is they refund the dividend to me every month(1~1.5%).

Do you know what it means by board rate + 4%? The board rate is normal FD rate? For example 3.20% for 3 months normal FD rate?

Can the ambank Islamic be placed online? Looking for online FD.

My in law stays near to Agro Bank
They intend to open FD a/c due to convenience
Their 12 mths FD is 3.60% but not member of PIDM

One of my FDs matured today so I went hunting for the "best" deal as usual.  I was aware of the Ambank 4.1% 9 month, interest paid monthly, as well as the Public Bank FDXtra 6 months 4.05% + 6 months 4.3% step up promo, interest payable at the end of months 6 and 12.

Decided against the Public Bank offer because interest was paid once every 6 months, and the stupid fine print about adjusting the promotional interest rate should the OPR change.  Was on the way to Ambank when I decided to drop by Hong Leong to see if they had any promos.  Ended up placing a 12 month step up there, effective interest rate 4.1%, promo for their PB customers.  Months 1-3 3.65%, months 4-6 3.85%, months 7-9 4.05% and months 10-12 4.85%.  Promo ends 14 August, fresh funds only.  Interest is credited monthly.  I decided this was the best deal for me based on my requirements.

Managed to get a free gift of plastic water bottle and hot water tumbler set as well although I wasn't strictly a "new" customer   I just hope they don't go bust haha, I've got all my money in this bank, for now...

As usual, don't waste your time with CIMB, in all my years as their Preferred customer, there has not been a single worthwhile promotion.

Promotions everywhere but insufficient $ for placement

So many uncertainties now, better don't lock up cash too long. Crisis is opportunity, be very liquid and wait for bargain to come. Crisis/opportunity don't come very often, 17 looong years waiting man. Don't miss it.

You can seriously consider dual currency account already.
You can enjoy higher interest in ringgit until you strike USD, and when you strike, you strike at spot rate, which is cheaper than tt/od rate.
