My room size is about 12x16x11ft. Based on btu calculator the recommended hp is 1.2HP. However mine is an old house with poor insulation - with large ventilation holes above the window. From an energy efficiency point of view,  Should i over compensate -  I.e go for 1.5hp inverter?  Or under compensate -  I.e opt for 1hp inverter, since the insulation is poor anyway? I expect to use the aircon 4-6hrs a day at 24 degrees.

Has anyone installed the new Panasonic Sky series inverter airconditioner?

Also, if my current airconditioner is non- inverter, will there be any problem if I were to install an inverter without replacing the existing copper piping? I was told that the existing copper piping has to be cleaned first.

Get a basic non-inverter Japan brand or can try Hisense.

Im helping my brother to sources some aircon, he is getting about 5 units in various sizes, reason I said LG was it seems very cheap, actually cheaper then Fujiaire ?
My bro got a lump sum cost from his friend, is its hard to determine the actual cost of the Fujiaire unit cost only,
But generally is Fujiaire cheaper then Haier, Hisence, Midea? cheaper by RM100-200?
My bro later saw a shop was advertising RM1220 - LG 1.5hp non inverter, no installation

Looks like the conclusion from forum members is not to use LG or Fujiaire
Budget AC use Hairer/Hisense/Midea ?
Next step up would be Daikin or Panasonic basic models?

Function in a office environment, currently being renovated, and inside temps are around 31-33 with windows open.
We target 26-28 degrees where its just comfortable, no need to be very cold as its just wasting money.

Question on Panasonic Inverter iAutoX function.

Why is it that when I use this iAutoX mode, the aircond sometimes not cold and the blower not blowing air out?
I thought Inverter aircond will constantly blowing cold air at a set temperature?

How to see the difference between piping for inverter and non-inverter?
Because during renovation few years ago, the contractor was ask to install piping for inverter aircon. Just that for some reason during that time, a non-inverter aircon was installed. And now since the aircon unit is going to be replace, thought of changing to inverter aircon

avoid using inverter if u not gonna on it every hours. FYI, inverter is not cool than normal one & spare parts also slightly exp.

regarding inverter or non inverter, for my case as below, shall i go for inverter or non inverter?
Mon-Sun: On 10pm-8am
Sat and Sun (at home), so on occasionally when it is hot, maybe 12pm-2pm, 4pm-6pm.

i heard inverter will consume more electricity if we on it less than 6 hours?
by using inverter, will sat and sun cost me higher electricity bills due to the 2 hours on and off?
any suggestions to overcome it?
