Got a question, the developer installed a Panasonic R410 Multi-split (CS-4U4S34SBH) that supports 3 units of indoor (1 unit 2HP, 2 units 1HP).

If only using the 1HP inside room, the power consumption will still be much higher since no matter how the huge compressor is running?
*
Panasonic aircon discontinued in 5 years model.
I found this category slightly similar to your outdoor specs.
https://virtualexperience.apac.panasonic.co...20Catalogue.pdf

Switch on 1 room = 700w
2 room = 1740w
2 room 1Hp + 2HP = 3180w

Yes, I understood single point of failure. But too bad not enough space to convert into 3 single split.

And I have been getting mixed answer for power consumption, some say multi-split actually use less power.

What is the input watt?
Can snap pic on outdoor specification

The window quite tight for me to crawl outside, but according to website Input Wattage is 2800 (560-3460)
*
The standard rate 2800w for 3 units after cooling down.
When turn on 3 units at the same time, when is starting boost up was 3460w, 5 sec to 10-15mins after cooling down then back to standard rate @ 2800w.

1hp single unit = 700w
1hp + 1hp 2 units = 1450w
2hp single unit = 1800w
1hp + 2hp = 2800w
1hp + 1hp + 2hp = 2800w

I think almost there, if you can find the configuration chart has more detailed
Check from the latest R32 model chart , you will understand the mixed power input watts

Hi, looking to buy 3HP Aircond to cover my dining, living and dry kitchen area for my landed property. Preferably cassette type. What brand do you recommend? Inverter or non-inverter?

Usage pattern: turn on average 5-6 hours/day
*
Non inverter like living room or dinner , still okay, you can’t feel that on and off compressor.
For bedroom 1hp to 1.5hp go for inverter, no matter on 1-3 hours, still save for 50-150 monthly.
The comfortable sleeping good for you.
While non inverter, some time very hot and wake up suddenly, then keep hearing the compressor on and off.
This is supper annoying 😂

1-3 dont save much really. Better open 5-6 hours because the energy savings mostly comes after 3 hours.
*
Operation 2-3 hours a day macam too short.
Why not consider 6-8 hours a day?

Just realised Mitsubishi JS inverter 1.5hp uses larger gas pipe size of 12.7mm instead of the typical 9.52mm.... usually only 2hp onwards will require 12.7mm. Not sure if this is an error on the website?

https://www.mitsubishielectricmalaysia.com/...ners/js-series/

For this reason alone I'm considering GR series or other brands 1.5hp inverter

[Update] I checked their brochure, seems to be an error on the website. Brochure spec mention JS series 1hp and 1.5hp uses 9.52mm gas pipe

https://www.mitsubishielectricmalaysia.com/...Conditioner.pdf

Interestingly I also noticed there's 2 different versions of the 1hp model, JS10VF and JS10VF2

Version 2 seems to be more efficient and better cooling performance overall
*
From the specs was 9.52 diameter , 12.7 for 18k 2HP and above

Non inverter aircond change to inverter aircond.... involves adding additional wiring?
*
If back to back , remove all pipes and cables as well.
There is depend on copper thickness do not less than 0.6mm for inverter unit.

Copper pipe should be fine since my non inverter is already R32

Now I can understand why so many people still stick with non inverter especially in high rise. The operation to remove piping and wiring is complicated for high rises and many dont see the worth of it. Many of them are concealed and involves hacking the walls or ceiling
*
R32 should be fine.
3 cores wires without earth will do on indoor unit

I'm getting feed back from repair person that the parts for mitsubishi are not widely available and thus a bit pricy.
Have u experienced this?
*
If in JB got Mitsubishi Electric service Center all the parts can order easily. I am not too sure about KL, basically Mitsubishi electric come from Thailand.
PC board much durable than the daikin.
Daikin made in Malaysia sometime out of QC, or QC going to sleep. 😴
Panasonic name good, but ac compressor not as good, lower grade than the daikin.
For me. Either Mitsubishi electric or acson or Haier / Gree or Hisense, midea , AUX inverter Ac

In long run including maintenance, inverter or non-inverter is better value? Very seldom use... only when needed.. maybe ard 15hrs in a month each unit.

Currently use non inverter... but look like time to replace..
*
Very seldom why need aircon?
Go for inverter like haier, Hisense, AUX, Gree, Media, the inverter model are cheaper than Japan brands still very durable and affordable pricing
