When many people already encounter the same, what else to show. Your model 15 years may not be the same tech as the new model now.
*
I had installed the latest model, don’t have this issue.
How I know what is this issue for you guy guys?

It's like I go Singapore HardwareZone forum keep promoting and talking about Proton cars and in denial mode when someone said his/her Proton car got issue. Syok sendiri I would say...
*

Even I as a third party reader also can see the issue here

They are complaining about a feature that Mitsubishi implemented. Its annoying hence an issue. Its in the owners manual. What is so hard to understand? Your aircond might not have the same feature / issue since its an older model

Mitsubishi pay you money for promoting their aircond or every aircond they sell?
*
What is the new feature?
In the user manual same as my current Mitsubishi electric setting in auto or manual, nothing wrong.
Never indicative for new features.
Basically set on manual vane stop in which angle or set on auto.
That is simple setting to me.

Taking 30 mins video to wait the flap to blow upwards?
Next what? Waiting you to say take video + remote control for 30 mins to prove we didn't manually adjust it?
Following then you say this is good feature, just use remote control to adjust it downward is just a 3 sec job ma...
*
1st pressed on power, already set in manual at 45 angle downward.
The air vane will turn into 45 angle downward or go upward directly?

True bro, Even reading about it over and over from voscar and I'm not a Mitsubishi user, I already can understand the issue.
Finally, it took so many posts of the same thing for you to get it. Come to Malaysia, buy 1 unit of Mitsubishi Mr Slim and get real experience of it.

Bro.... i think everyone here done explaining themselves. doh.gif Since this is stated already in user manual clearly this is a design decision from Mitsubishi themselves. Nothing wrong with the motor.... IT IS DESIGNED THAT WAY. If your english understanding is not good we all can understand... but dont try to say its a user issue. Yes the user can get around it like you say, but still this is due to something that mitsubishi implemented

This is shared here for everyone to know. Someone will find it annoying and someone may not mind about it.
*
Are you Mitsubishi Electric user?
I have set on auto or manual vane in position 3, after power on and use for 8 or 12 hours never encountered this issue to me.
That is why I don’t believed what you guys talk about.

Because it might be due to your model and our model different. Understand or not? 明白吗? No need to defend mitsubishi so hard. Nobody here say its a bad aircond, just comes with an annoying feature
*
Haha I am not a seller or salesperson in Mitsubishi Electric, just wanna find out the answer.
Nothing wrong to me. I got the Mitsubishi day 1 set on auto mode for bedroom and living room in position 3 manual vane.
Nothing issue at all, after so many years, until now u guys complain about 30mins automatic position upward. That is funny thing to me

Lol, even explaining to my old age parents they understood much faster...

Just that every time it happened, my mother the first one sure cursing what's this stupid aircond then she will use remote control to set to down.. pity older people can't see the remote control's flap positioning clearly every time have to manual set it back downward
*
Try to set in air vane on position 3, if you’re prefer that blowing downward on position 4 & 5. Nothing can help it

Hi guys, I've been looking into upgrading my aircond from 1.5HP to 2.0HP since my room is too big for the 1.5HP to cool completely.

I've been looking at 3 models particularly. The Midea MSEP, MSXS and Samsung Premium Plus aircond. I'm tempted to get the MSEP since it's 5 Star EER while the MSXS (Despite the name) is only 4 Star EER.

I also heard Samseng brand's spare part very expensive when servicing.

Since energy savings is important to me, which one should I go for?
*
Go for ascon inverter or Mitsubishi Electric inverter, daikin as well.

Samsung LG aircon try to avoid this.
Samsung is the part, LG very difficult to remove for serving.

Lower budget go for Midea, Gree, Hisense, AUX , TLC
Any inverter are the best, since bedroom have to usage more than 8-12 hours a day.

I'm looking at Midea since all the other rooms in my house is running on Midea. My only concern now is the Energy Efficiency between the MSXS 2HP model and the MSEP 2HP model.

Thanks! so I'll probably save around RM40 if I open 8 hours a day everyday for a month. Now I just need to find somewhere to buy this model, so hard to find.
*
Very serious, 300w consider half of 1hp 5* at 640w for some model.
If long term usage probably go for lower input watts.

I don't support going to 2hp you better with 2.5hp.

The unit and the Colling coil is so much different in size.
*
There is depend on the house owner.
Some master bedroom very big area.
Go for 18k btu 2hp good than enough, or prefer cassette type.
2.5hp usually use in living room area. The coolest not suitable for bedroom. Over coldness become uncomfortable

Can you elaborate a bit on this?
*
His means that, 2.5hp using 50% more materials such as cooling aluminium coin fins , gas and condenser size, also bigger compressor size with higher voltage.
The cooling can be quick and fast to cooling down than the 2hp.
If very coldness for smaller room size , to become uncomfortable to use in master bedroom. For living and dining area not an issue

I see, I really need to go back and measure my room size. Thanks for the info
*
4.5m x 6m go for 18k = 2hp
5m wide and 7m long 24k = 2.5hp

Emm… personal experience is that R32 cools faster and feels colder at the same temperature setup.

There is one more aircon (midea brand) in the house that uses R32 the cooling is faster and feel colder. I set 25 degree but it feels like 24 degree or colder… but if I set 26 degree it also does not feel cold enough like normal 25 degree…somehow R32 the cool down temperature does not match the exact set temperature. Often I feel that it is too cold at 25 degree set. Not very comfortable.

R410a is more normal which 25 degree feel like 25 degree. I have the HomePod mini inside the room the temperature sensor shows 25 degree also.

Too bad I am renting house so I can only use what is provided. The Mitsubishi R410a models are provided by the developers for this house and consumes a lot of energy especially they are old models. Obviously the aircon is bought during construction.
*
R32 higher pressure than the R410a.
Basically can feel that fast cooling from start booster up time.
Colder not need lower temperature, that is good idea for energy saving.
R22 common temp on 20-23c
R410a on 25-26c
R32 on 26-27c
If your room size just around 3.5m x 4m for 1hp r32

Serious? For R32 temperature must set higher to feel the same as the temperature set? Then the temperature sensor must have prob. 🤪
*
Haha asking yourself , are you owned R32 or R410a
Just feels yourself, maybe you got higher body temperature than me 🤣🤣🤣

If you have body fats, no mater 16C still nothing different for you.
