==> You'll Never Walk Alone <==

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm there's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
For your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone.

Liverpool sack coach
Another True RED axed

So it was Mike Marsh's fault that we end up in 6th. Great thinking FSG

The season review took 2hours, two hours to get to the bottom of things. The discussion, KPI, what went wrong for a great club like Liverpool TOOK only two hours. (As reported)

Though I'm sure it was shorter if you take in account, the tea lady pouring tea, opening the power point, flipping 360pages of Rodgers new seasons dossier, a few laughters on how we got rid of the massive Steven gerrards salary (what a load of wages) rolleyes.gif

Two hours for the whole seasons review...and we got mike marsh ass. How much really was talked of the chosen one Brendan Rodgers performance as manager??

Apparently never in a question, not at all. Rodgers haters, pls go tapau sweat.gif sweat.gif

And 2nd news of transfers signing filtering in

QUOTE
The signing of Danny Ings is to be confirmed in a matter of days. (Chris Bascombe) ‪#‎lfc‬

When this is finalized, it's 2 of 2 on signings that I predicted since last year since has materialized .

Just like in company, the one able to sweet talk the best, a lot of time tend to be liked by the boss... whistling.gif

If the season review verdict can be "sweet talk" as positive outcome, it is something we need to learn a lot from the manager, it may help our career in climbing up the company hierarchy. tongue.gif

Spent more than 100 mil, finishing 6th, loss 6-1 one of worst defeat on many decades, problem in scoring,
for ordinary folks, may be grilled severely in the interview session and struggling to find an excuse or reason to explain to the board member,
and yet the manager can turn the tide as a "positive" season review, which is amazing.

wouldnt be surprised if later FSG sack the cafeteria staff and tea lady for not giving players enough fuel just to make up for BR's incompetence.

Lu orang semua lupa, Rodgers is a media darling. Despite being at a loss on how to steer Liverpoolfc last season, this Rodgers is very good, savvy at presentations.

Damn, if the English league title was just sweet talk, Liverpool will have bag the long awaited league trophy.

Someone wrote, of course must be positive. Dejan lovren played so badly, the lowest, it can only GO up.

Other positives that may be in Rodgers season review

We score, all our forwards score less than burnleyfc's Danny Ings, it can only GO up. (We are about to confirm ings signing anyway). That's also a positive. thumbup.gif

We may get half of what we paid for Mario Balotelli, hey, that's a positive! thumbup.gif

We are getting offers for (that shitty boy) sterling for a lot lot money than what we got him for, hey that's a positive thumbup.gif

Rafa gone to Madrid and Klopp seems insisting on taking a break. It's probably for the best we persists with BR for now. The last time we ditched Rafa, we ended up with Hogdson because there was little to no alternatives at that time.

I think Milner is a good signing. We have a really young squad and he brings in some experience. Ability wise, i think he's nothing special overall a reliable player with sound technique and is quite robust. It's funny he was one of the most important signings for me in previous FM due to his high professionalism - a trait i used whenever i tutor someone lol. I never really used him tho, he mostly played in reserve haha.

QUOTE
from reports that first-team coach Mike Marsh is to leave Liverpool this summer, it seems assistant manager Colin Pascoe will also depart.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK - Wednesday, July 16, 2014: Liverpool's manager Brendan Rodgers and assistant manager Colin Pascoe before a preseason friendly match against Brøndby IF at Brøndby Stadion. (Pic by David Rawcliffe/Propaganda)

Reports earlier on Friday had suggested that Pascoe, and goalkeeper coach John Achterberg, would keep their jobs after the club had decided not to renew Marsh’s contract this summer.

The first reports of Pascoe also leaving the coaching staff emerged on Friday afternoon.

The Welshman, famed for wearing shorts no matter the weather, joined Liverpool alongside Brendan Rodgers three years ago, following the Northern Irishman from their time at Swansea City together.

“There has been pressure since the end of the season for Rodgers to add more experience to his staff,” wrote The Telegraph‘s Chris Bascombe on Friday.

We explained last week of the lack of experience between Rodgers, Pascoe, Marsh and Achterberg was a concern – two of them had just one year prior experience in the Premier League prior to be appointed at Liverpool, the other two were promotions from the club’s academy.

Pascoe had 12 months remaining on his contract but will leave the club along with Marsh.

It’s claimed that Pascoe leaving is not just FSG’s call, but also Rodgers’ – recognising the coaching staff was below European standard and needs to be improved.

In addition to these changes, Rodgers will now have increased say on transfers.
Woohoo, mike march, colin pascoe gets the kick in ass. Liverpoolfc's POOR season is their fault. Guess what Phil Thompson tweeted? Tsk tsk, some shadow tai chi'ing and it's their fault but Brendan's.

Either Rodgers is wearing some Thai amulet warding off incredible pressure of faulting finding, or this golden child of FSG is really THE chosen ONE.

Stand back, for the chosen one will unleash all Liverpool's might next season!! whistling.gif

News that what I figured the brilliant masterclass tactician is looking to exchange 2 for 1

QUOTE
Arsenal would LOVE this - Liverpool fans will hate it!
Liverpool will give the green light for Raheem Sterling to join Arsenal - but only if Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs are included in the deal according to ESPN.

ESPN report that it is Liverpool who have approached Arsenal over the prospect of a deal for Sterling. The Anfield-based club have a hole in their team at right-back with the impending departure of Glen Johnson when his contract expires which Gibbs would fill, while Walcott would be a like-for-like replacement for Sterling.
Good sum, I heard FSG has given you more access to transfer dealings (to me it's another PR crafted piece)

Sell one, get two. Awesome business this is sweat.gif rolleyes.gif

It's a dirty business, but someone got to be sacrificed, isn't it Rodgers ?
Mike March & Colin pascoe is not European standard (but you are), they get the chop.

Some site suggest Hyypia, Carrager, Sammy Lee, Gary McAllister or Robbie Fowler up for the job

Anyway I think its great to sign Milner with Gerrard is leaving. He can score and assist, which is somthing we need desperately.
No INGs please. Selling Sterling is fine for me providing price is right. Min 40mil-50mil (English player is expensive one la)
We need GK (maybe first team or backup since Jones is leaving), strikers and another central midfielder, right back (actually Manquilo and Flanagan can do the job)

Veratti? Cech / Cassilas? Mythirayan from Dortmund?

problem is with BR and no CL, wonder who else willing to join us? Perhaps raid from Dortmund smile.gif

Danny ings will be confirmed (matter of days). LiverpoolFC likes to do business early.

I'm be elated if Hyypia joins our back room staff, though I highly doubt that piece of feel good news.

How shit can this get? The board is out of their minds. If you put BR on free now, I can only see middle table teams that are interested in him at best.

But anyway, BR may say he's previously won the best manager of the season...

Suarez situation suggested selling Sterling even with price tag 50 mil also may not a wise decision.
Remember how 100 mil being spent last summer that almost all the new recruit sitting on the bench?

The money proceed from selling Sterling may be wasted as well, just like Suarez.

Better stick with Sterling with the remaining 2 years, no money wasted in transfer fee as well as the remaining contract doesn't command high wages.

Raid from Dortmund?

Suarez situation suggested selling Sterling even with price tag 50 mil also may not a wise decision.

The problem is if everyone knows we got 50m for Sterling, suddenly whoever we want to buy will all be inflated one.

Lol.. chelsea doesnt have this problem. Sold luiz and got costa and fabregas on a cheap.. then again, mourinho is shrewd in business.. and we have a bunch of idiot sitting on a round table discussing about buying english players or young cheap potentials.

Then all the managers that admired costa too must be shrewd, Liverpool FC and Brendan were linked and attempted to get costa the year before Chelsea got him.

So.. Brendan Rodgers is shrewd master 😁😁

Costa don't want to come here ma. Brendan want Alexis also don't want to come here. tmr say he want Lacazette also don't want come here. Brendan now trying to turn unknown people into superstars. Backfired with Sterling and last season's buys. So this season buy those in the bargain bin of other clubs i.e. Milner, or overperformer of lower club like Benteke or Ings. That's our transfer business lo. Once in a while we strike it lucky with ppl like Sturridge or Coutinho, but most times, because the TC doesn't have a proper eye for talent, they turn out badly.

So Colin Pascoe is axed now. Cut off Wodgers's arms and legs and push him to the ledge. Whats the catch here? To save them the compensation? Well played FSG, well played.

Wodgers, Do the honorable thing and resign now.

As much as I hate to say it, can we even blame Sterling for rejecting a contract with Liverpool?

If he goes to Real Madrid, which is also stupid, right? Rafa is stupid for taking up the Real Madrid managerial post.

How do you stop the greatest football team in the planet, the perfect team closest to every gamers fantasy football? Sure Real Madrid won the CL the and la liga previous 1-2 seasons back with Carlos ancelotti. That when Barcelona had problems internally, messi own affairs was messy.

But that's where lies ambition . Ready for the challenge. Risky but its where it separates big boys with ambition with boys with plastic spades only wanting to play at the sand box.

I don't think many realise nor have an understanding of the above mention

that was quite a pitiful performance from england.
hendo again on the right...but often drifting in...had one real good break which rooney then fluffed with a bad first touch.
sterling was mostly invisible in the early parts, while lallana became invisible later on.

milner had a decent game but in the dm role again...zzz...and that is what i guess brenda will probably do also...

looks like the future of england is just as dull as lfc...or vice versa.

Yup, I know what you mean.

A lot was said rafa Benitez is nothing without Pako ayestaran.

It's kinda misrepresentation, I suppose those throphies with intermilan, chelsea, napoli were, well must have been "gifted" to rafa Benitez led teams. Sure they weren't the champions league trophy but they were nontheless respective domestic trophies & Europe cups.

Something we haven't been able to reach since KD in recent times.

Pako ayestaran can help/assist but let's get over our heads. The gaffer has a big(gest) say to the teams selection plus overall tactics.

Everyone (besides manager) has a contribution but if the manager is clueless on dealing with opponents n changes after changes of tactics within A game, he is grasping on thin air.

Sure, FSG has faith in him. But He is clipped in the sense where the backroom staffs were "sacrificed". Were they (back room staff) hand-picked previously by Liverpool fc (FSG) and not of dodger's own? As couple have suggested? Supposedly according to some, now Rodgers has a better rein (to dictate more) after the debacle from last season. As if he was chained as a manager in 3 previous seasons, now the shackles are off.

You tell me, Colin pascoe was from Swanseafc, you tell me. And if previously Rodgers didn't "hand-pick his own trusted back room staff" then, doesn't that also mean he was just a puppet, before?? right? then what some of us have been saying are given more credence.

I don't get it? Many have accused several of us being too tough on Rodgers. Everytime we brought up of Rodgers insipid performance, we labelled traitors.

Now, some changes are made of the backroom staff, excuses made, those fellas weren't brought in by Brendan, same excuses the transfer committee has all the say on transfers (failures). No fault of Brendan's.

JHC

To be winner is not just good player, good facilities, good money. But the most we need is we need good soul.
We are lacking of soul.
I don't mind mid player table, but we need Liverpool soul in each player. Yes we don't have big money and big players, what you can say with our current squad? nothing much different. But I don't see each player has the soul.
We must remember we are Liverpool, we must maintain our tradition.

When u have manager like BR, clueless at all times, and tends to play you out of your best position, , its natural you lose the soul. Same shit as your boss hires you as an engineer, you thought you will be fixing nuclear reactors, but end up, you are assigned to administrative work. Naturally, you will lose your passion and confidence too.

He has whole team know how to tiki taka from GK to striker. That's why you seldom see GK kick the ball, instead he pass the ball to the defender to build up the attacke.

Our defener DO NOT KNOW how to play tiki taka. Skertel only know how to use his right foot passing. Sahko only good at passing forward to find open man. Lovern always pass back to Mig. The only CB that have skill to take the ball is Can, who happened to be a midfielder.

Liverpool CAN play tiki taka, the pass & move has quite a devastating effect under Dalglish (it was the crossbar that kinda came in the way)

Brendan Rodgers Liverpool plays tiki tala very well, but is just playing sideways and looking good within the sandbox. When opposing teams start to play high pressing game. We just don't know how to switch the formation to a a devastating knell onto the opposition.

Almost always no effect in the final 3rd.

before the moans, Nuts, hey the 2nd season we score superbly with SAS playing this brand of football.....

Wrong...

Sterling will be sold. Milner will play right winger. Sturridge will still be injured so Ings will play as lone striker. Can will still be at right back. Hendo and Allen will play in central midfield.

This is BR's hallmark

Halo, the reference was ings and sturidge (are for England) see the bracketed text and "they are for England too, save time for (ings and Sturidge's) to gel FOR LFC.

The Dwight and cole reference was the deadly duo parthersshipss combo. Ikut discussion sikit whistling.gif bila Yorker n cole play for LFC?

Sorry, you need to follow the discussion, perhaps my (sorry state) brand of humor takes awhile for outsiders to understand, esp those parachuting in and having just read that one line. wink.gif

Yorke and Cole was deadly combo because of MU domination and AF.
RVP, Rooney also scored plenty of goals under AF,
Same with Solksjaer, Ronaldo, Beckham.

Nothing to do with nationality.

The statement of "they are England, saving time to gel" come from the manager?

Hope not another famous statement made, already got plenty famous "lol" statement on the list already, not wish to see another one added into the list.

Well, most of us fans here at LYN/LFC trend (don't know if the other 'real' Kopites in other forums/blogs) have premonition of what top 'excuses' could come by. It's been 3 years. In all seriousness, I think FSG will now press for sell (first) then buy.

We have since secured the initial targets, (Milner, ings & recalling the likes of origi) though we definitely are aiming for more (from the looks of it), it's now to see how we (transfer committee & Brendan) wheel and deal.

That's my accessment of what may be going on behind the scene (post 2014/2015)

No I haven't seen it. Though I don't doubt your link (earlier), just pulling your leg. Btw thanks for the video link!

Though like mourino, I do say of lot of things in a jest. Hopefully some can distinguish my grave concern for the club and mild poking fun.

There is a huge concern we will lose skrtel now. he has hinted he will not bow down to the rediculous offer on the table for him to earn his 'full' salary ONLY if he completes 80% of the games featured in a season (or along those lines)

It's the same in concern where sterling is rejecting all approaches by Liverpool.

To some fans, their players days are over (at liverpools), along the lines "good riddance" sad.gif sad.gif

Really? I don't remember skrtel ever sulking when he plays for Liverpool. That guy had staples for the wound (LFC game) and he continued to play his heart out.

This is how we (seen) to treat Liverpool players. Even borini, appas, Coates, Balotelli or other LFC player wrongly bought by transfer committee just because it fits our wage bill, and budget. AND never quite feature for Liverpool at ALL.

Real Top players won't wanna come, they will look at how we seem to treat players like pariahs, outcast, because our manager doesn't know how to use them.

Remeber igor biscan? And a couple of square peg players, yet they were used sparingly and in some cases correctly by the manager. So it must be "manager problem then." sweat.gif

Have some truth also.
Liv under BR never a threat to JM, unlike RB, whereby we saw quite fierce rivalry in between.

Only when rival see you as serious threat, then you see rival manager concern on you, just like RB.
AW vs AF, AW vs JM etc, you see some intense rivalry and word many times.

Just like we didn't see AF concerned about Woy, instead offering some support to the rival manager....

Just like many rival fans offered support for Moyes, even put up banner "football genius manager" and hope he stayed longer...

So now rival fans may very happy to see "BR's positive season review".

JM's is like one stone hit many birds, but somehow the worst hit is the possession football, tactical genius manager that leak goals for fun (even finishing second at league table, still leaking goals just on fired SAS combination to do the rescue... laugh.gif

We weren't a threat last season but JM were referring to a team (red) that plays possession football (the graphics showing lots of passing, side passing, death by football in %)...don't score goals (to win games)....that why they won't be champions

Truth.

The % thing has only one reference

Few days didn't read any Liverpool related news, and then when I decided to read up, Ings is already a Liverpool player. doh.gif

Fuck lar, last season buy bunch of mid table player, end up mid table position.

So this season buy relegated player, end up fighting for relegation?

exactly why i cant understand the signing of Ings, considering that even lambert had a better strike rate.
i guess the word 'potential' is still being thrown around in the TC.

It can become a sticky when the deal of kovacic falls, and we lose skrtel also. Then we kinda trip like we did with losing Suarez.

Again we might have defenders of Rodgers "buys", but silent when those buys have averagely turn below expectations (way below). sad.gif sad.gif Then shift blame to transfer committee sweat.gif

We are giving skrtel the up yours (play 80% to claim your full salary) now simply because lovren has, guess what 2014/2015 season that just concluded, singled out lovren to be good and amongst the top defenders like terry, kompany and all.

Yes, it's in the stats! Surprised?? But that's how the stats has shown. Brendan Rodgers & FSG believe sabermetrics is the way to go 100%,

Base on stats too if a team has posssesions above 60%-70% is likely to win the game.

I wish to tell MR Rodgers, its goals win games, good defending and low goals against makes champions, not those fantastic and colorful power point presentations included in the dossier.

What else did I leave out ?

Fuarkk, I really forgot that dude d, he's too average for me to remember him.

Please, some one please enlighten me why do we need Ings?

Why since BR in charge, all his transfer is either replacing player with the same caliber, or replacing with some one worse.

What kind of business model is this?

Fuarkk, I really forgot that dude d, he's too average for me to remember him.

Please, some one please enlighten me why do we need Ings?

Why since BR in charge, all his transfer is either replacing player with the same caliber, or replacing with some one worse.

What kind of business model is this?

THAT season u squad doesn't play with someone that hold the ball. it's all pass n move so to speak. but after the sales of suarez, BR start buying strikers that hold the ball eg lambert + balo. but in the end he chose to play ur 19yo prodigy as a false nine role. really mindfucuk.jpg

Plan A, najib holding tactic not working, backfired. Plan B, reengaged last year Plan A subtract Suarez by Sterling. And the rest are history.

Actually its the other way round. Every win will be due to the new No.2 while every lost will be directed at BR
IMO BR already lost some of the dressing room, now that he continued while his No2 &1st team coach he appointed were fired, he'll lost further credibility.
Its a bad move from FSG firing his key backroom staff but retaining him wink.gif

Yeelong is correct, we signed ings, only now the tribunal will decide the fee as Spurs did table an offer (though I think Spurs trolled, In my opinion ings did gave his word to us sometime back).

Because of Spurs 's offer to burnley (15million) despite 'knowingly' ings wanted to join us instead. We now have to cough up to maybe 10mil -12mil ??? (to be deliberated by a neutral tribunal)

The funny thing about us is every transfer deals sure have alot of news that say we interest in who who who then we are frontline on signing him. Then poops... he goes to another top team who come out of no way last minute.

I am just trying to say, cant we do the other way of quietly approach the club for player and signed them without hu ha before signing?
Or can we clear the staff internally as surely there is someone who are giving the news out all the while. I wonder why other club can sign the player within days and we took few weeks linking with them before even give them an offer. Just out of curiousity why news always out there when we just show slight interest?

Wheeling and dealing

Blame all those agents if you want but it's pretty much how the football economics part of it works. To assume there is a gentlemen manner of negociations, sometimes players rights need to be protected.

Of course fan(s) do find better association to a club than of the player, players rights came into the forefront about a decade plus ago with he Bosman ruling. (Can't remember the date but it had far reaching consequences)

I suppose since then players (welfare) has a bit more leverage ? In negociations. Perhaps. While some news probably conveniently leaked to maybe drive the fees to be higher, some news are just media papers stones in the air for their readers. Putting it in general sense but it's probably more than that above

Morning lads..

Updates on the new stadium..
I have some pictures on my phone I have not uploaded them yet..
But LFC website has pictures of them...

But just beware..
When i brought my bro n sis there to do stadium tour last month, it was just closed until the new stand completed..
so no more stadium tour for the rest of 2015/16..

However LFC still sells tickets for self tour (with accompanying officer off course) but it won't be as informative as before..
I was also told you won't be allowed to go to the players dressing room and touch the famous this is anfield sign.

the capacity is also reduced around 500 seats this season

It all depends, you are asking to throw in our best defender, at least in the statistics and best tactical masterclass manager, mana boleh. sweat.gif

I think, I really do think sterling will go but it will be less than 40mil. Maybe only 30 mil + bonuses (in whichever ways the club feels best).

I think, I really do think sterling will go but it will be less than 40mil. Maybe only 30 mil + bonuses (in whichever ways the club feels best).

Bogdan has been at Bolton since 2007 but found playing time at the Macron Stadium limited over the past 12 months through injury and loss of form.

He did, however, impress in the Trotters’ FA Cup fourth round tie at Anfield in January, pulling off a number of saves to help them to a goalless draw. He missed the replay, however, due to an ankle injury.

Why everytime Liv sell players always need to sell at low end of offer?

A defender, Lovren already cost 20 mil.
A young hot prospect, homegrown playersm attacker cost only 30 mil? blink.gif

If the TC is good in negotiating, should at least negotiate more than 40+ mil.

Leisure reading

QUOTE
They arrived back in 2011: the wheat-germ toast days. They hired Damien Comolli and decreed that they were going to do Moneyball and be successful. Except that that didn't work (almost immediately) and so, they sacked him.

So when they sacked Comolli and decided to appoint Rodgers, they initially wanted to ally him with another director of football. This, they felt, was the best way to be successful: dynamic young coach, wise old head guiding him through the transfer market. But then they met Rodgers. He had his PowerPoint presentation and his envelopes, and they fell for him. He said he did not want a director of football, so they changed their minds.

Phase three was the transfer committee (the 5:2 diet) when FSG decided that Rodgers could not be trusted on his own in the market and needed lots of different brains to help. That remains in place, and they seem wedded to the structure, but the problem now is that the transfer committee cannot decide what they think because FSG's priorities keep changing.

Last summer, the idea was to buy young players, brightly promising ones and then watch as they developed under Rodgers' careful tuition. This was not their first "philosophy" in the transfer market: they had already been through the "British Is Best" phase, and then the "Recreate Rodgers's Swansea" phase, and then the "Undervalued Bargains From Abroad" phase.

In December, though, they were so confident that signing young players with resale value was the way forward that they considered sacking their manager because he was not playing these new signings enough, or in the right position. Fast-forward six months and the criteria have changed again. Now they want Premier League-Proven players, the least imaginative transfer strategy imaginable, an approach that actually negates the need for scouts at all and would work just as well if you gave control of it to someone who's done quite well at fantasy football in the past 12 months.

Agreed, Sterling should be valued at least 40m, and he's British, automatically add on 10m, he should be sold only at the price not lower than 50m!

As much as I think we should be greeting a lot more than what I think it will be tabled out, it's just because Raheem isn't currently on our 'high' salary and his valuation has been based on some good performance (when he did play good) and England appearances.

Just saying the leverage may not be on our side. We dont 'have-much-chips' on the table of negociations. (And Sterling wants out)

To me, we can play hardball, but on stats sterling hasn't lighted or really blazed the English football unlike a certain Michael Owen, and yes how much again we got for him? (I know he only has less than a year left then if I'm not mistaken)

But there are parallels here, it seems. We can demand but we needed more better quality/proven premiership player.
I think other big clubs might just throw in some fringe player to wet our manager, and he might bite

Sterling contract has 2 years left.

Instead let Sterling goes on cheap at 20~30 mil, that BR may spend the 20~30 mil on some totally unproven and fringe players with higher wages (50~100K) as compared to current reported 30K, it is better off with playing hard ball and let the contract run up. Financial wise, it is cheaper to keep Sterling, on field, at least Sterling may be better off than whoever BR intended to buy, as last season, almost all transfer can be considered flop, mediocre (apart Can) across.

I don't think we have had a good back up keeper for a long while now
.
If only we had Pepe Reina as first keeper and then Mignolet would make a good back up keeper for Liverpool.

i was at the kop during newcastle and palace match..
sterling missed a sitter almost from the same spot during both games..

whenever he made a mistake, the fans will shout at him..

i can't see sterling has any place in the team this season..

when the fans keep on booing him, it will be like bale at real madrid..
it will only demotivate you and trouble your confidence

Both RM penalties : I really feel that the ball struck the shoulders. Nothing much any defeneder can really do.

Both Liverpool goals were awesome headers

even though we lost 4-2.. felt really good watching the legend players again... smile.gif

With the fixture and the season ending form being carried into the new season,
I will be no surprise if Liv is hovering near relegation zone after 3 months into the season. (not the first time under BR)

What a coincidence Klopp is on holiday..., perfect fixture for perfect timing? laugh.gif

Arsenal won't bite more than 25-30mil.

Man city can pay, but you can see they are already shuttering on the increase bids. It will likely be around there. Raheem can improve but he won't anymore under rodgers and he will only be a squad player on the bench at other big clubs.

Liverpool might hold on for a better bid(s), chances are other clubs will troll Liverpool n buy other targets (that we should be getting those first than to have them stalling)

Our delay (hoping to sell n fund new buys) will mean we will tripped yet again on transfers. I hope Brendan Rodgers and transfer committee learned their lesson from last season and not fuk on dealing yet again

With the leaky defense and knowing how tough our start of new campaign next season, I don't think liverpool is anywhere near in securing their targets (defense)

I think Liverpool made a decision to keep skrtel (possibly lessening their demands that he must fulfill 80% appearances to claim his full salary.)

It's a good start to stablise the squad after lots of uncertainty.

After gomez, Next up should be confirming some leads on coaches.

As much as I hate to say, perhaps that disgruntled fan has substantial evidence or at least judging by the lack of FSG presences (John Henry) coming forth in and claiming fans rears.

If this comes thru, I sure there will (or at least there must might) be some fans blaming those anti Brendan Rodgers/questioning FSG all these while as the reason for bailing out /quiting on Liverpoolfc)

FSG hasn't quote been forthcoming in their support of late, perhaps they too are perplexed that after spending much money with Kenny and Rodgers we have not progressed much??

"They (FSG) are in for the 'LONG TERM'", that's what some Kopites have assured the other fans. FSG used to say that in the past, but they kinda got quite silent of late.

Perhaps we are the writer is overthinking. Maybe it's nothing. But somehow with the depressed outlook, I kinda may think the story might be more substances than false alarm

I hope it's fake news too. But then.. sad.gif sad.gif

QUOTE
KOPTALK has been informed that a potential buyer is currently investigating a takeover with sources claiming that talks are at an advanced stage. Whether or not FSG will proceed with this option we simply do not know.

Sources also claim that FSG will not authorise any significant spending above the club's normal budget and that major club decisions will continue to be postponed. An internal 'lock down' on communication from within the club will remain in place, we can only assume as a result of this interested party sniffing around us. (ED: 'Lock down' explained ... we were informed several weeks ago that the club's press office had been instructed to issue no comments during the ongoing media attention surrounding the end of season review, Rodgers' position, potential replacements, the transfer committee, coaching changes etc).

Lock down, is kinda been happening of late? No?

UEFA let MC spend next season ma.

http://www.espnfc.com/club/manchester-city...boost-from-uefa

So MC now dare to spend big, plus they are short of homegrown player after exodus of home grown player in search of more game play.

Obviously money is not a problem for them. They probably already accounted the 50M fine when budgeting for the players to buy.

What will hurt them more is definitely points deduction, at the beginning of the season. But then again, it's FIFA.

But at Copa America he had been ban two matches during clash with Neymar.

Good thing is he release cause is about 20M, better than that 32.5M benteke. doh.gif

But thie firmino already making his marks in germany and scoring goals for brazil in Copa, he is fun to wach tho.

I think this season BR need to revert to back 4 to liberate Can liao. He is doing very well currently in his role in U21 germany team. This morning hie missed 2 chances to score...

I think this season BR need to revert to back 4 to liberate Can liao. He is doing very well currently in his role in U21 germany team. This morning hie missed 2 chances to score...

I dont buy the idea of buying a 20m youth player just to make them better. When you spend that amount he should have at least make some impact. Do remember we are not Man City where money is not an issue. We need to spend wisely.

That is the logic of FSG.

Buy Myvi with the price if 100k is ok.
Buy BMW with the price of 150k is not ok.

Buy Lovren for 20m is ok.
Buy world class established player for 30m is not ok.

20m is nothing in todays market..18 year old luke shaw sold for 30m..for a 20-22 year olds, i can accept if he's not a regular starter..different players peak at different age..sterling starts to peak at 19, markovic maybe 22-23

nowadays all price all inflated. Sterling, phil jones, Luke shaws, are the prime example of it. But it only apply to england breed. you still can get good value for money players in Germany, Spain, and South Amiericano

Liverpool complete Firmino signing
24th Jun 2015 - Latest News

Liverpool complete Firmino signing
Author: James Carroll @James_Carroll84
Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim, subject to a medical which will take place immediately following the player's participation in Copa America 2015 for Brazil.

The 23-year-old has agreed a long-term contract with the club.

Firmino will arrive at Anfield following four-and-a-half seasons in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.

The forward made 151 appearances in league and cup for the German club, netting 47 goals, after joining them from Figueirense in December 2010.

To date, Firmino has nine caps and four goals for Brazil - including what proved to be the winner in his country's 2-1 victory over Venezuela in the Copa America on Sunday.

noticed that FSG transfer business is not nonsense.... since couth and struj.. they have been keen to bring in players.. now they just need to access the quality instead of quantity. I know they can splash cash evidently from Firmnino, Lallana, Lovern cases.

carlos bacca interest seems more concrete and he does seem like a very good goalscorer despite his age

thats the way we should do business. secure our real targets (first), apart from the free transfer ones.

don't wait till last minute like in the past and we are left stupidly short.

Yes i admit i know nothing of him, Not much to tell from the linked youtube (we don't judge ability on short clips but he appears at least he is not clumsy (better footed) or awkward. And for him to be in brazil national team, that must at least be a highlight point

Fuiyo not bad the lansi face. He can do that lansi face to the opponent when he scored. Better if lansi in front the opponent manager, higher level than Suarez dive. laugh.gif

Not sure whether he'll adapt but one thing is for sure. This Firmino guy has got flair.

Based on stat, Lovren is the best defender in PL... whistling.gif

The stat is dribble, doesn't state the end product.
Can dribble dribble, get pass defender, then don't know what to do...awful pass or shooting blank... laugh.gif

It's amazing how fast we wrapped up the deal, even Ian Ayre was surprised:
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/footb...how-ian-9517894

Credits to Coutinho for putting in a good word too.
Next, how about convincing another Brazillian striker, who happened to be sent off last week? Paging Agent Coutinho and Agent Suarez. laugh.gif

Can't wait to watch Coutinho and Firmino link up in red shirts. thumbup.gif

In terms of end product, 21 assists in the past 2 seasons. Was hoping at the end of last season that we signed this guy instead of Lallana.

As good as Kovacic is i don't think we need more midfielders of his mould unless Welsh Xavi is offloaded which is impossible anyway for reason we all know. Still hoping for a DM to eventually take Lucas' place as I see Can as a better fit for the box to box role than a defensive player. Kondogbia was my ideal target but he is now gone to Inter and would've been too costly anyway.

As for strikers, Vietto is off to Atletico and there aren't many good strikers left on the market. Bacca seems to be the best of the lot despite his age and price. Still not sure of his ability but definitely more suited to our style than Benteke.
