damn, BR would make a good boss...always push blame elsewhere tongue.gif
*
Just like in company, the one able to sweet talk the best, a lot of time tend to be liked by the boss... whistling.gif

If the season review verdict can be "sweet talk" as positive outcome, it is something we need to learn a lot from the manager, it may help our career in climbing up the company hierarchy. tongue.gif

Spent more than 100 mil, finishing 6th, loss 6-1 one of worst defeat on many decades, problem in scoring,
for ordinary folks, may be grilled severely in the interview session and struggling to find an excuse or reason to explain to the board member,
and yet the manager can turn the tide as a "positive" season review, which is amazing.

Some site suggest Hyypia, Carrager, Sammy Lee, Gary McAllister or Robbie Fowler up for the job

Anyway I think its great to sign Milner with Gerrard is leaving. He can score and assist, which is somthing we need desperately.
No INGs please. Selling Sterling is fine for me providing price is right. Min 40mil-50mil (English player is expensive one la)
We need GK (maybe first team or backup since Jones is leaving), strikers and another central midfielder, right back (actually Manquilo and Flanagan can do the job)

Veratti? Cech / Cassilas? Mythirayan from Dortmund?

problem is with BR and no CL, wonder who else willing to join us? Perhaps raid from Dortmund smile.gif
*
Suarez situation suggested selling Sterling even with price tag 50 mil also may not a wise decision.
Remember how 100 mil being spent last summer that almost all the new recruit sitting on the bench?

The money proceed from selling Sterling may be wasted as well, just like Suarez.

Better stick with Sterling with the remaining 2 years, no money wasted in transfer fee as well as the remaining contract doesn't command high wages.

Raid from Dortmund?
If Klopp is in charge may be... tongue.gif

When thing goes wrong, get spacegoat to blame.
When thing right, get all the credit.
Always sweet talk the boss + excellent interview.

This is the essence to climb up the hierarchy ladder.
I think many already get use of this in corporate world... whistling.gif

LONDON (Reuters) - Jose Mourinho believes football is only about winning and that managers who favour a possession-dominated beautiful game and neglect steely defense and lethal counter-attacking are "stupid".
Who is the manager advocate the most of possession football?... whistling.gif

Halo, the reference was ings and sturidge (are for England) see the bracketed text andĀ  "they are for England too, save time for (ings and Sturidge's) to gel FOR LFC.

The Dwight and cole reference was the deadly duo parthersshipss combo. Ikut discussion sikitĀ  whistling.gif bila Yorker n cole play for LFC?
*
Yorke and Cole was deadly combo because of MU domination and AF.
RVP, Rooney also scored plenty of goals under AF,
Same with Solksjaer, Ronaldo, Beckham.

Nothing to do with nationality.

The statement of "they are England, saving time to gel" come from the manager?

Hope not another famous statement made, already got plenty famous "lol" statement on the list already, not wish to see another one added into the list.

Thought that one was referring to ManU?

I recalled JM only perli Arsene, LVG and MP. Not BR. BR tak sampai tahap lagi kena perli tongue.gif
*
Have some truth also.
Liv under BR never a threat to JM, unlike RB, whereby we saw quite fierce rivalry in between.

Only when rival see you as serious threat, then you see rival manager concern on you, just like RB.
AW vs AF, AW vs JM etc, you see some intense rivalry and word many times.

Just like we didn't see AF concerned about Woy, instead offering some support to the rival manager....

Just like many rival fans offered support for Moyes, even put up banner "football genius manager" and hope he stayed longer...

So now rival fans may very happy to see "BR's positive season review".

JM's is like one stone hit many birds, but somehow the worst hit is the possession football, tactical genius manager that leak goals for fun (even finishing second at league table, still leaking goals just on fired SAS combination to do the rescue... laugh.gif

It all depends, you are asking to throw in our best defender, at least in the statistics and best tactical masterclass manager, mana boleh. sweat.gif

I think, I really do think sterling will go but it will be less than 40mil. Maybe only 30 mil + bonuses (in whichever ways the club feels best).
Ambition
*
Why everytime Liv sell players always need to sell at low end of offer?

A defender, Lovren already cost 20 mil.
A young hot prospect, homegrown playersm attacker cost only 30 mil? blink.gif

If the TC is good in negotiating, should at least negotiate more than 40+ mil.

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Jun 12 2015, 12:34 PM)
As much as I think we should be greeting a lot more than what I think it will be tabled out, it's just because Raheem isn't currently on our 'high' salary and his valuation has been based on some good performance (when he did play good) and England appearances.

Just saying the leverage may not be on our side. We dont 'have-much-chips' on the table of negociations. (And Sterling wants out)

To me, we can play hardball, but on stats sterling hasn't lighted or really blazed the English football unlike a certain Michael Owen, and yes how much again we got for him? (I know he only has less than a year left then if I'm not mistaken)

But there are parallels here, it seems. We can demand but we needed more better quality/proven premiership player.
I think other big clubs might just throw in some fringe player to wet our manager, and he might bite
*
Sterling contract has 2 years left.

Instead let Sterling goes on cheap at 20~30 mil, that BR may spend the 20~30 mil on some totally unproven and fringe players with higher wages (50~100K) as compared to current reported 30K, it is better off with playing hard ball and let the contract run up. Financial wise, it is cheaper to keep Sterling, on field, at least Sterling may be better off than whoever BR intended to buy, as last season, almost all transfer can be considered flop, mediocre (apart Can) across.

u smoking what?
BR got no vision to buy andy carroll.
btw, speaking of andy carroll...he scored 5 goals in 12 games last season for hammers...contrast that to who did a pathetic 7 goals in 34 games? #sterlingOUT.
*
7 goals/34 games worth >30 mil, with wages may be more than 100K

Now I understand the reason BR went for Ings (11 goals/35 games) at free transfer!! whistling.gif

With the fixture and the season ending form being carried into the new season,
I will be no surprise if Liv is hovering near relegation zone after 3 months into the season. (not the first time under BR)

What a coincidence Klopp is on holiday..., perfect fixture for perfect timing? laugh.gif

BR is the hot favourite for 2015/16 manager sacking list...
http://www.thisisanfield.com/2015/06/brend...tures-released/

+ Sturridge won't be fit for the start of season
+ tough away fixture list
+ recently new signing list that is not convincing

With Firmino deal confirmed, I guess Sterling deal may be soon.
