Only reason why I'm keeping are for the promotions and coffee house rebates ( San Fran / Library ).

But I think I'll knock it off soon also la, if my UOB comes.

Once my VOX approves, then I will cancel my CIMB CR.

No point of keeping so many cards.

Note unlike banks such as MBB,,,,cash back (promos) by CIMB is not considered payment of your statement... It appears the same applies to the standard monthly cashback (5%/2%/0.2%)...

Example: If your statement is RM500, and you get RM200 cash back before your statement is due....and you pay only you outstanding balance of RM300, you'll be charged interest of the RM300 even though technically you owe them nothing... Once bitten, Twice shy....

I think this could the last month. It'll start from July 29th, 2015 onwards.

Yes....it'll be the first item in the next statement.... and you'll have to pay your statement in full (not minus the "cb" out) or you'll be charged interest (on the "cb" amount)...

My statement is on the 28th.....without CB. The CB is the first item on the following "un-billed transactions"

I participated in the RM100 rebate for 5 times RM50 swipes per week campaign ended in May
I noticed my name in the winners list but the RM100 was not credited as of yesterday. So I called customer service and they confirmed it should be credited by now. Today it's credited

I'm not sure if it's coincident or intentional. But I'd check every winner list for the campaigns I participated in from now on

What I meant is whether the change is to delay 1 month to give you the cash rebate.

Statement date: 28th of this month
Cash rebate: 29th of next month (next two statements)

Yup... and make sure you pay your full statement without deducting the CB... or you'll be charged interest on the CB amount...

With CIMB.... cash back is only acknowledge on the date of the statement..
