A few months back, booked a room through Agoda with the 'book now, pay later' option. Just checked this morning on the cash rebate for that particular transaction. Only got 0.2% cash rebate. Called and confirmed with CS about the MCC and if it is qualified for 5% cash rebate. The CS said its MCC is 4722 and yes and an inquiry was opened to investigate. Would receive a call if there is any outcome from the investigation. Received a call two hours later, saying that it was POSMODE 01 and not POSMODE 81, thus only qualified for 0.2%, and it is stated in the FAQ. So beware of the 'book now, pay later' option!

I had the same experience. However, after I called to complain, they reissue the 4.8% rebate to me 2 weeks later.

Anyway, CIMB is NOT for Agoda, ever! (there is also a 0.8% cross border charge).

SInce he said the POSMODE is not 81, I find it hard to argue with him. Thus, only 0.2% cash rebate. =/

with 0.2% rebate, you paid 0.8% cross border, still suffer loss of 0.6% leh!

At first, I thought the cross border fee could be covered by the 5% cash rebate. But it is not the story in this case. =/

I havr both and for online transactions I use VOX the most because most of my online transactions are above RM 50.

I applied at Sunway Pyramid CC on last Saturday 10.30am, and got around 12.15am my card with 2 gits. The guy said counted from 11am and can get around 1 hour.
May be they only produce card starting 11am.

For VOX card, the minimum spend (to gain cash rebate) is holding me back from applying. Most of my online transactions are below rm50. Anyway, may consider it for potential big amount spending in future.

Used the given petronas cc. Asked the counter for full tank which amounted to 49.99rm on the pump. But I received message it charge rm100. Should I call them to ask?
