The only thing nuvi series was not water resistant. You will need a problem when using that unit when rainy days.

Agreed with bro Stimix some more for that unit (60series, 76 series, etrex series) there is ready bike mounted, so no need to fabricate yourself.

It much cheaper for you to contribute rather than buying original map from Garmin. |

New info I get from malsingmaps.com stated new updated firmware for nuvi200 and quoted from bro nuodi
QUOTE(nuodi @ 22 Oct 2007, 06:59 PM) nuvi 200 now can! smile.gif with firmware update 3.4. Yet to try it cos afraid my maps n poi's gets wiped out. Will be passing it to my reseller fren to update. As per my newbies knowledge, abilities of the unit to track back route that had been passed through, when you on the tracking mode you can see a trail along the road you have been passed out. Like in 76csx/60csx we can set the tracking interval by time up to 1 second or by distance up to 10 meter. But in the Mobile XT we just can set the interval to the most often to get the best track. This raw track will be used by mapper for making GPS map together with POI/waypoint and other info. This post has been edited by Deani_77: Oct 23 2007, 04:37 PM |

I read some where in malsingmaps.com notified that they successfully installing mobile XT and navigate through Garmin 10x
QUOTE(gys188 @ malsingmaps.com) i am newbie, just bought P1i and have used it with garmin 10x, works well though. The only problem i have is the abbreviated address that appears on the search address when you are accessing the <where to> button. e.g. instead of ([Midlands, lebuh) it only shows M, l. Any idea how to rectify this? thanks |

QUOTE(Seaedge @ Dec 5 2007, 02:58 PM) but gmxt need its own GP10x to work. Not really because now GMXT can work with built-in GPS but you need to buy the SD card from Garmin contain GMXT program. It had been discussed here. This post has been edited by Deani_77: Dec 5 2007, 05:13 PM |

So cheap aaa... May be special offered price.
If you asking me, I would suggest you Garmin Que + GPS Proxy. But for newbie the setting could be a headache. You can find out the setting at malsing website. Mapking also give a good coverage for semenanjung but you need to buy the map license. |

If you buy Garmin Mobile 10x (BT GPS), you can get the Garmin Mobile XT for free from Garmin Website. And for Mapking and Garmin Que, you can get the software for free and it can be connected to any BT GPS. The only problem was the map, for Garmin you can get either paid map from Garmin website or as alternative you can get it for free from malsingmaps.com. As for Mapking, you don't have choice for free map, you need to buy the map license in order to use Mapking map (either from Mapking and malsingmaps.com)
Garmin Mobile 10x - Mobile XT (free and paid map available) Other BT GPS - Garmin Que+GPSProxy/GPS Gate (free and paid map available) Other BT GPS - Mapking (need map license) This post has been edited by Deani_77: Jan 24 2008, 05:31 PM |

That was basicly it does in navigation system, finding directions. Other than that you can use it for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling etc.
Map update, as for Garmin map you can get an update on monthly basis at Malsingmaps.com but with a bit of contribution for making the map better. Added on March 14, 2008, 11:45 amGarmin Mobile XT for WM software ver 4.20.20 (Feb 26, 2008) Get it here... This post has been edited by Deani_77: Mar 14 2008, 11:45 AM |

QUOTE(qiyi @ Mar 18 2008, 11:00 AM) Got my N82 recently. Anybody knows how to use AGPS? Is it everytime i start my GPS i have to connect to internet to get the maps? Bro... you can read AGPS about it here... For your info nokia maps are a bit different method when compared to regular GPS for navigation. I suggest you to get BT GPS (Garmin 10x my deadly recommendation). Use Mobile XT for symbian and you can get the map for free. Please guide this poor fellow Thanks. |
