Basically the brands below are mostly sub par. They have some decent products, but mostly not carried by local distributors. Century in particular has had a drop in quality recently. I've used both Bosch and Panasonic and can say they do not last long, not even on a lowly car like my old Wira.
Fundamentally battery life depends on how the car is taken care of and used. If the car is parked under sun all day, the battery will deteriorate faster. If you drive the car often, then the battery will have a chance to recharge. Most importantly the miles in between engine restarts. Driving frequent short distance trips will not give it a chance to recharge to it's optimum capacity. I had my ride for about 1.5 years and did a battery check at 30K. It was dying, but not dying as fast as others, mainly I suppose I put in a good 30 km in my typical drive. Nonetheless, once it drops to near 70% of it's rated CCA, it's probably time to look for a replacement. Mine was 411 at the time, and the battery was rated for 550. I can feel cranks are slightly more difficult but no issues starting. Having said that, a decent battery will last a good 2 years. However, the battery problems on the K3 are mainly also because Naza choose to use a lousy battery from a lousy manufacturer. They have another brand, and it is also one of those in my list of batteries never to buy. I heard the recent batches changed to an AC Delco battery, but I guess SA(s) can confirm that, or if they are still using that lousy Watta battery. Nontheless, do a battery check every service and plan for a replacement within 1.5 years if you are using the Watta battery. They don't last long. There are plenty of good brands out there like Trane, Varta, Atlas BX etc. And it will cost you less to change outside than at the SC who will milk every hard earned dollar from you. Just my 2 cents P.S: I went for Atlas BX. Those interested in the contact, do PM me. QUOTE(ckalvin @ Jun 27 2015, 04:30 PM) |

This is something that Cerato owner may not realize without looking through the manual
Defogging Logic is to reduce the probability of fogging up the inside of the windshield, the air intake or air conditioning are controlled automatically according to certain conditions when using defroster. Simply every time when you turn off the A/C, it switches from recirculated air position to outside (fresh) air position, so , one has to select recirculated air position again to prevent outside air from getting in. So deactivation defogging logic stop it from switching automatically everytime. Please follow the steps as shown in the guide in the picture below, if you have this issue. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Hi. I have a crack on my windscreen thanks to a rock just now, where can i possibly fix it (with insurance) and is it ok if I delay the repair? As in fix it later when my schedule is free?

As in fix it later when my schedule is free? Sorry to hear of the stone crack. If you have insured your windscreen of at least 3K, you can have it changed at any Naza Kia authorised SC that process insurance claims such as at Red Cube, Glenmarie, Puchong or Setapak Otherwise, you can also replace it at other windscreen shops such as Dr Cermin or Dr Windscreen at lesser than RM2500. If you have done any tinting, some shops can even help you to claim for partial compensation for the tint too. Do discuss this with the shop directly. You may delay the repair if there is no crack line that may potentially spread and cause the whole windscreen to collapse or shatter in pieces. Usually, you tint may still help to hold it in place, if the stone crack is isolated and windscreen appear to be stable. |
