I heard their Level 1 intake is tomorrow (contact them if you are interested). Not too sure about Sunway's course. |

Hey, guys.
The lecturer adviced us to have an extra calculator for back-up/emergency. I am now looking for TEXAS INSTRUMENTS (BA II PLUS) calculator. I went to MPH but they don't have it. I need it URGENTLY. Exam is coming!!!! Thanks in advanced! |

If it's just a normal RM40 scientific calculator I wouldn't mind buying another calculator just in case. What i meant is the battery has finished. I thought of that place as well. thanks in advance. But we're talking about a RM290+ financial calculator here. I would prefer bringing a screw driver and batteries to the exams. =/ If you are afraid it being used up in exams, just replace the battery with a new one before sitting for exams. Possibility of it dying is close to zero. I bought my calculator at MPH but I heard they don't sell it anymore. Kasturi sells them, according to some forummer in this thread. |

QUOTE(CLian @ Dec 2 2011, 01:43 PM) U meant malfunction? Either malfunction or battery dies, the chances are very low. I have a Texas BA II PLUS PRO which I bought in 2008 and have been using it till now (even the recent Level 1 in June'11). I have never changed the battery (still the same one that came in the package). I can guarantee nothing will happen to yours although yours is Basic (unless you have a habit of dropping calculators). What i meant is the battery has finished. I've only attended the Revision Classes (called IRC - Intensive Revision Course) at Noesis for Level 1. 3 mock exams and a revision class for each topic area by the respective lecturers. I definitely found it effective. For Level 2, I think it will be the same.BTW, I plan to self study Lv2 but will try to attend revision classes preferably at Noesis. In addition, have even seen those that bring a big bunch of pencils & erasers. What is more embarassing are students who bring illegally printed Schweser's QuickSheet to the exam hall. |

Generally what are the things allowed inside the exam hall? Anything else apart from passport, exam admission tickets, HB pencils & erasers?

clian, my lecturer advices the same
we should either bring an extra calculator, or screwdriver + batteries if you are using the ba 2 plus if u are using the ba 2 plus PRO, then you don't need a screwdriver, just batteries i agree that the chances of ur calculator dying is close to zero. But.. WHAT IF? then you are screwed. Bringing extra calculator brings no harm. There could be other possibilities that calculator don't function, it is not necessarily only due to battery.. even if you change it right before the exams Since fino will be going to support.. maybe he could loan you his calculator and you treat him drinks in return instead? |

Make sure the eraser has no cover and don't bring in the HB pencil box, or whatever item that you can write your notes on. Happened to me.... |
