Hey, guys.

The lecturer adviced us to have an extra calculator for back-up/emergency.

I am now looking for TEXAS INSTRUMENTS (BA II PLUS) calculator.

I went to MPH but they don't have it.

I need it URGENTLY. Exam is coming!!!!

Thanks in advanced! notworthy.gif

1) It's very unlikely your calculator will die in the exam.

2) Try Kinokuniya at KLCC.

U meant malfunction?

What i meant is the battery has finished.

Can you guarantee that the battery inside my calculator can last until I leave the exam hall?

Possibility still exists.

By the way, do you know where to buy it?

Kinokuniya? I thought of that place as well.

thanks in advance.

If it's just a normal RM40 scientific calculator I wouldn't mind buying another calculator just in case.

But we're talking about a RM290+ financial calculator here. I would prefer bringing a screw driver and batteries to the exams. =/
If you are afraid it being used up in exams, just replace the battery with a new one before sitting for exams. Possibility of it dying is close to zero.

I bought my calculator at MPH but I heard they don't sell it anymore. Kasturi sells them, according to some forummer in this thread.

It is worth to buy a safety. nod.gif

I won't have enough time to replace the battery. biggrin.gif

Either malfunction or battery dies, the chances are very low. I have a Texas BA II PLUS PRO which I bought in 2008 and have been using it till now (even the recent Level 1 in June'11). I have never changed the battery (still the same one that came in the package). I can guarantee nothing will happen to yours although yours is Basic (unless you have a habit of dropping calculators).

I bought mine at Kinokuniya, and I believe they are still selling it.

Thanks for your advice.

clian, my lecturer advices the same

we should either bring an extra calculator, or screwdriver + batteries if you are using the ba 2 plus

if u are using the ba 2 plus PRO, then you don't need a screwdriver, just batteries

i agree that the chances of ur calculator dying is close to zero. But.. WHAT IF? then you are screwed. Bringing extra calculator brings no harm. There could be other possibilities that calculator don't function, it is not necessarily only due to battery.. even if you change it right before the exams

Since fino will be going to support.. maybe he could loan you his calculator and you treat him drinks in return instead?

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have just borrowed an extra calculator from a friend. biggrin.gif
