Those who have trouble to access google play, try switching the lan cable to the red colored port.

installed kodi and exodus addon, movies seems to be abit choppy. is anyone experiencing the same? im guessing its bcs of low ram?

Hi. Selamat Hari Raya.
I just rooted this STB using KingRoot from xdadeveloper site.
It works. Hypptv and other apps working without problem.  nod.gif [attachmentid=7079288]

Thanks Guys for the info ... I learned so much from this thread.

Yesterday I call TM to complain on my old STB box and request the new one. Today they send a technician mith my new box.

I just managed to install kodi and will try later to install adds on...

For youtube i just used appletv...

Any "must have" source or kodi channel that you guys can recommend

Nice find. Any benefit of rooting that you've taken advantage from your hypptv that you could share?

Testing Torrenting 1080p Movies with Quasar Today.

At least 13 movies i'm torrenting simultaneously.
user posted image
Progress view from my mac.

Android_8ddbb is my few hard disks connected to my the Hypptv Box.

sde8 is the storage path for torrented movies

You don't need other client for torrenting, just use Quasar in Kodi. Browse movies and start choosing your best torrent (1080p 5.1 DTS /DD / DTSHDMA/ TrueHD) Once start just cancel and choose other movie. Quasar will do the magic keep torrenting even you switch to watch TV on Hypptv.

The torrent will stop only when you quit kodi. Quasar will continue torrenting when you start Kodi

Do it quick cause all nice movies will have less and less seeders nowadays. They won't be there forever for you especially movies with lossless surround sound.

TM agent called me and offered me to upgrade my package to 30Mb ... It was 2 month ago and they also extend warranty of my equipments. After i found out about kodi can be install on the new white box i just call them and asking whether i can change my grey box to the new white one... They said they cannot change the box unless the box was faulty .. so i said to them sometime the box disconnect and since i just upgrade to the new package i wish to change it. They said they will send a technician to check .. I said ok just come and check.. The next morning the technician come with the new box and did'nt bother to check and he just change it.

Good morning all. Finally I got this HyppTV box from my friend who is not using it. The one I have is the previous version but I guess it is too complicated for me when I read the guide to install Google Play Store apk and all.

Now I have some questions and I hope you guys can help me. I will only try doing it when I go back home tonight.

1) I didn't install any HyppTV to my BTU because I don't have a TV set in my rented room and I know it doesn't have any interesting channels for me. Hence, I asked the installer not to do anything about it. My own box is still kept in the original packaging. So now, I got this white box from my friend and I understand HyppTV is binded to each account. I don't mind it because I'm not going to watch HyppTV anyway. My question is, will I be prompted for any login and password when I power it up? Both of us do not know our password... sweat.gif

2) Do I need to plug in to BTU first to do anything or just can power it up and treat it like a standalone Android box then can start setting it up to install apps?

3) I saw there is a micro SD slot, can I install my apps there? I understand the internal storage memory is not much and I might have problems when I stream shows. Or how can I be benefited from this micro SD? What is the maximum capacity of Micro SD that it can read?

Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif

I can't even "get out" from internal storage. Cannot navigate to my thumb drive or even SD card. Once I selected cache folder, it straight shows "device storage". hmm.gif
