hi,
just want to get you guys opinions....is it worth to buy Kawasaki zx6r? or better grab zx10r straight away? im thinking for daily ride...80% thru highway and 20% thru city ride...dont mind about seating position...but what im curious is in term of performance and maintenance between those two..
very appreciate on your guys inputs..

thanks.

Reconsider your abilities bro. The zx10R is a heavy bike. Its build for highway cruising/speeding. When you reach the city you will be in some trouble. Stuck in traffic, hard to cilok, and the heat from engine. Maintenance will also higher, not to mention fuel. From my opinion, the ZX6R is a better choice. The bike is lighter and more nimble and can still hit 200 kmh with ease ( provided you can hold on from the wind )

Good luck...cheers...

I would beg to differ on that statement. The ZX10r is built for the track NOT highway cruising.
The ZX6R is not much lighter it's about 193kg vs the 198kg of the ZX10R.
Maintenance is about the same, just that your chain and tyre wear would differ slightly. Fuel of course goes without saying.
Both bikes can KILL you if you disrespect it, the same goes for many large displacement motorcycles. You get better with more miles on the saddle, you can also be very good at weaving through traffic (of course not as nimble as kapchais) - I used to ride to my office along Jalan Ampang on my bike during rush hour.
If you want to do cruising on highway, get a Versys 1000 or GTR1400.
Looking at @abahumie is using it for, i'd recommend getting a Versys/ER6F.
Agree to all statement above.
Both are very powerful bike and must be treated with respect.
Ridding a ZX6R myself for a couple months now.
Point you may be interested:
1. Hand numbing is a killer. Starting new, riding for 30 minutes my palm is crazily numb.
Now I can do 2 hours. But still numb
2. Engine heat is also a killer. Riding at high noon in a jam, you feet will be roasted to crisp.
The radiator fan only kicks in at 100C!! (any guru knows how i can throw in a manual switch?)
With the ambient temperature at 3+C and stuck in a traffic jam with the hot air blows directly on ur feet.
3. No fuel gauge
Comparing ZX6R with ZX10R, if you have the budget, gut and passion, go for 10R.
With additional 20k on the price tag, u get extra to 6R:
1. Steering damper (ohlins cost about 6-8k if not mistaken)
2. ABS (priceless, 6R with ABS needs to place special order in malaysia)
3. And ofcoz additional POWER
4. and sexier look.
Ride safe
