QUOTE(lucifah @ Jun 9 2015, 09:03 AM) actually i wanted a white one, but when it was first launched, all they have is yellow yours is the later model than 2011 model? without the so called "mini horns" on the headlamp right? front signal indicators not attached to fairing?i prebooked mine in dec 2011, way before it was officially launched. until todei kawasaki msia never bring in the white one white or black looks better, but white to stand out a bit, not shouting. just nice. i agree with your color preference. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jun 9 2015, 09:24 AM) mine's the current gen 2012 model oh, what i meant with the mini horns were the headlamp. the model before your had a headlamp with sort of like 2 devillish horns at the headlamp itself. first time i see somebody mentioned mini horns... yup, it has the mini horns. not integrated to the fairing - that's one of the reason why my repair cost was quite affordable. the original fairing only cost rm 100+ i get what model yours is now. |

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jul 21 2015, 12:16 AM) Care to make more elaborations? I don't have a problem with d390. i have not rode a duke 390 before, so my comments may not be useful. but both duke 200 and 390 share the same chassis. i find it redundant. worse, there is now a duke 250. with all the split from the cbu and ckd companies, the end customers are the ones suffering. ckd part claims are a ridiculously tedious process in terms of the approved bike shops. But maybe, I'm a newbie ans that's why. the duke 690 now, look at how many are selling. not sure why, but maybe its not that appealing. compare those to the pre 2012 model, the current ones look really funny while the old one still stand out. resale value is still firm. |

QUOTE(Hades76 @ Jul 21 2015, 08:51 AM) Yeah. Wonder what is KTM doing by introducing so many models and most of them are so near each other. Maybe they wanna be like the people's motorcycle whereby can cover every income earner, from all rider aspects...LOL... i think it's all done in the ckd models. stupid marketing strategy i would say.they aspire to be like samsung? slight difference in spec, new product? |

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jul 21 2015, 10:54 AM) Indeed yeah. The released 250 is certainly making the previous owners crazy. Pricing wise, the 690 faces many fierce competition and the look, it is an either you love it or hate it one. So, yeah. duku dua ratus boss.......Which bike are you using now? bosan giler |

QUOTE(Hades76 @ Jul 21 2015, 01:31 PM) Agree with you...not a good strategy..its like killing their own market. I remember when the duke 200 came out....so full of hype and promise..became so popular....then came the 390, now the 250... LOL the worst thing is that, the first batch without abs came at about 20k selling price. i think about a year later, the abs model was introduced. then the model without abs got a price slash to about 17k otr. all the buyers of the first batch rage. resale value dropped like mad. now wanna let go also susah. really regret buying ktm. my advice is go for the higher cc like duke 690. pre 2012 model, the one that looks like hooligan unleashed on the road not the new duke 690 which is ckd too now. otherwise, just go for er6n like the one lucifah has. ada betul ka bro? |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 21 2015, 02:25 PM) used er6n has good prices nowadays. cheap and easy to maintain i think it depends on individual. personally, i dont fancy the inline 4 sound. too smooth haha.but if you can't live with the inline-4 engine, then the er6 is not for you. even with the best exhaust, a twin cylinder will always be a twin cylinder. they sound like mesin jahit. hahah twin cylinder sound is great, or single provided the cc must be at least a 600 to get that louder sound. |
