you are comparing almost two different tier. An mid-entry level with a mid level bike. A 40hp-ish to a 90hp-ish bike.
not forgetting the price gap between the two. Why not CB650F? 80hp-ish bike and looks awesome with awesome sound (read: four inline piston) too. Costs 45k myr cheaper than 796 by quarter the price I suppose? Plus, its a honda with reliability written all over the bike. lol
minus abs tho.
im speaking from a little puny knowledge and little speck of dust of experience, speed is a need. LOL
old but gold.
I know its not comparable to each other in almost everyway possible. The only thing that is similar is the ABS; which personally, I'd prefer to get just as a safety net. It's just the 2 bikes I've narrowed down to.not forgetting the price gap between the two. Why not CB650F? 80hp-ish bike and looks awesome with awesome sound (read: four inline piston) too. The sensible, easy-to-maintain, Japanese bulletproof, significantly cheaper, noobie friendly, baby sports,. CBR500R with ABS. Or
The beautiful, possible-expensive-to-maintain, Italian styling (made in Thailand), almost double the price, middle-level naked. Monster 796 Corse Stripe with ABS.
Wasn't looking for a comparison opinion. Just wanted to know if the maintenance of Ducati is worth it in the long run. Or just buy the CBR500, so if it drops, I won't cry as much and when I get better, get the Monster 821 instead later.
