Well, if have nothing to spend then don't purposely spend more just to get cash rebate.

Actually you will be spending more for the cash rebate which is a no-no in my case. laugh.gif

If it is a one-off campaign, I will consider but if it is a monthly cash rebate thingy, I will just spend whatever I need. biggrin.gif

Usually I will just pay more for my Maxis bill if I can't meet the month's cash rebate criteria. Just transferring credit from one form to another. laugh.gif

my statement come out on 24 sep, my rebate come out on 28 sep, it is not in the same statement, so i should pay 1100 or 1000?

pay 1k is ok. the yr total will be 1000+100 = 1100.

just got my HLB Wise as a result of the fall of MBB M2C laugh.gif

can someone enlighten me on a couple of questions regarding HLB Wise:

1) when is the statement date usually falls on? do they have a fixed statement date like AEON Credit Service?

2) i'm a Celcom postpaid user, currently enrolled in the auto-billing which entitles me a 5% rebate on bill. if i register HLB Wise for the auto-billing, will i be getting a 5%+10% cash back on my bill? has anyone try this before?

i start using WISE card recently.. and use uob payonline to do transaction.

I set all payment done on 1st of October.. I choose petrol & utilities as my rebate categories. (addtional bonus category of Mobile)

Scenario:
Monthly i will spend this amount of money. RM400 for petrol. RM200+ electricity, RM150 Streamyx, RM40+40 for Mobile (me & my gf), Touch nGO (reload by cash)

so i aim to rebate rm60+ from Petrol+Electricity+Mobile..

I separate out my electricty, tm streamyx and petrol pump into rm50 transactions, definitely more than 10 transactions..

But my question is, am i get the rebate for mobile category as well even though 2 transactions is below rm50 each.. It isnt mean once i got more than 10 transactions, so the 3 category will get rebate already?

Once you perform 10x50, then it activates the cash rebate already.
Your mobile even if it is RM 10 also will get RM 1. laugh.gif

10x RM50 is just a qualifier to activate the cashback. best if ALL within categories.

then, any other spending within categories are eligible for cashback. of course, total capped at RM100/mth.

P/s: tm Streamyx not under Utilities.

P/ps: can your gf apply Wise? if she qualifies, she can opt for Petrol/Utilities + Grocery categories.

under grocery, can cover ur TNG liao (I suppose also quite high if u so travel a lot). streamyx can be covered under Grocery if u pay at Sam's Groceria (if accessible for u).

I'm just thinking if I spend below RM 50 before I perform 10xRM 50, will it be eligible for 10% cash rebate as well? Assuming it is part of the 3 categories and eventually I did 10xRM 50? unsure.gif

that was my first month. I didn't realize that the period of cashback is from 1st to 31st of the month. So I have actually delayed 1 or 2 payments to the following month..  sweat.gif

oh well.. it is better than getting no cashback i supposed and i learn from it  sweat.gif

Not really, the cash back are calculated base on posting date, so don't do last minute transactions on last 5-7 days.
As some transactions it may take up to 4 days to get posted, so don't take the risk.
Transaction done today, merchant do the settlement today also but HLB may need 2 days(they have improved the posting date lately, so far all my transactions posted after 2 days) to post it.

Yup. As long as you have 10xRM50 per month, you will get the cashback.

Yes. As long as you have 10x 50 transaction in that month. All other transaction fall in the category are entitled for cash back. Best card in town if you know how to fully utilise it.

Yes, I downgraded. Please do it like 2 months before the 1st Year anniversary since they are busy with new applicants.

that's true.

But previously I have the wrong impression of the cashback period so I did not go and spend some the transactions. sweat.gif

Now I know so I keep track pretty accurately and surprisingly the posting date is quite good and usually it is one day after the transaction date.
