Yes, kitchen cabinet is the most expensive carpentry work in the entire house.

I got a quote for this kitchen cabinet with an island, using solid plywood and acrylic 4G door. Length 23.5 ft for the kitchen cabinet and 3 ft by 5 ft for the island. Total RM21,500++ excluding hood, hob n oven.  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

TKJ, RM21.5K I can buy so many things... better use lousy material instead of those good stuff to lower the cost.

What i know is , if you have solar water heater, it probably cost from 4-5k, budget another 5/6k for the pipings to all bathrooms and kitchen.

tkj, one way to reduce the cost based on your drawing is, avoid building your cabinet until ceiling height. Your table island come with the water piping?

I wanted ceiling height for more storage space + easy maintenance ie no need to clean the top part. No water piping on the island. Water piping on the island good ah?

My old house was using melamine board (those day no 4g). Lasted 14 years till I sold.

My current house I opted for melamine board again (wanted cheap) and here's a pic which I did with supercabinet.my (factory at semenyih near the new lekas ecohill interchange)

Price Rm5.5k (inclusive of labour installation charges for hood, hobs, sinks and piping).

Total length base is 22ft, wall unit I think around 9ft.

Of course if got nice budget, 4g and granite top is the best.
