I had terrible experience with Lenovo phone so I will avoid Lenovo phone.

Lags free is depends on your usage. But I think this phone should run fine.

Agree Lenovo phone is terrible.

But lag free or not is not totally depend on usage actually.
OS and the processor play a bigger role here.

suggested xiaomi, but she dun want xiaomi.

looking for budget android,

2gb ram,
16gb internal storage,
at least android 5.1 (for future proof)
13mp camera

processor clock speed, dont mind as long as it would peform smoothly.

Now I am using Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, it is performing just ok, not fast or slow.
Things annoy that me, maybe some of the apps compatible issue, and the 3 non-back light front key.
Volume button and power button take some time to get used to.
Then battery life is considered bad.
The screen also is very dim, but viewing angle is ok, color also ok.
Speaker also very loud.

But I won't suggesting it. Many time it has some weird lag on the stock rom, even after updated to latest rom.

I dunno if other Zenfone variant has the same issue.

If don't want Xiaomi, then consider Huawei. Honor 4C,4X and others.

4. What you need in the phone (Good camera/durable/future proof/long lasting battery)
Currently thinking about Oneplus X and Moto G3 but both have few disadvantages that i don't like such as inconsistency of 4G on Oneplus X(not sure in Msia but in US got problem) and 720P resolution for Moto G3. I'm also interested in Xiaomi Redmi 3 latest model and Redmi Note 3 latest variant. Please advice thanks.
