growth fund equities

you should buy it consistently (top up once every year) and not invest per lump sum

Must public fund? sweat.gif

PUBLIC GLOBAL SELECT FUND/ PUBLIC e-ISLAMIC SUSTAINABLE MILLENNIAL FUND (global)
PUBLIC FAR-EAST ALPHA-30 FUND (Asia)
PUBLIC e-ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY FUND (AI tech)

above r the fund that i'm still holding except PUBLIC e-ISLAMIC SUSTAINABLE MILLENNIAL FUND (bcoz i oledi have Public global select, so only in my checklist)
i now prefer e-series fund bcoz sales charge more cheaper (3.75% only) n after 90 days switch between equity fund is free... rclxms.gif

just switch my PUBLIC e-FLEXI ALLOCATION FUND to PUBLIC e-ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY FUND after the glove stock spike (after march)

still got others good fund but i seldom switching due to the switching fee (seldom switch means seldom do homework in PM fund) . i prefer FSM platform brows.gif

may b wait others give u some suggestion/input... tongue.gif

Anyone else invest in their latest fund called PB Vietnam Global 40 Fund?

It says risk profile is high.

Is it worth it since it's newly launched?

One is country specific and the other sector specific.
Both funds has its own concentrated risk.

Do you mean PM funds not available at FSM?

Not necessarily Public but reliable over decades to come.

Is there a small cap value like recommended by some USA advisors and would it perform like USA similar?

USA and tech fund you can consider ETF.
Equity in China , Asia pac, India you can go FSM/eUnitTrust website to search and compare. Sales charge much lower ( can go to zero during promotion)
Not good to discuss at here since this is PM thread

Why?
Will those holding those funds will have more money in those funds after the distribution? Asset value will be more after distribution?

At their UT prices page, click on the "Non Business Day" to see the holidays on the funds.

Taiwan, National Day on 9th Oct.
Greater China fund and China Ittikal fund have equities in Taiwan stock market.

Download and save the pdf file, you need to know the holidays in buying funds, especially if you want to time the market.

As an example, I made a switch into PB Greater China A-shares before the 4pm cut-off time on 30th Sept. If I missed the cut-off time, I might as well make the switch days later, as the fund has non-business days from 1st Oct to 9th Oct, and it will be priced accordingly to the NAV price on Monday 12th Oct.

I am not well versed in financial terms, so not really sure what it really means by “portfolio turnover”. And to be sure, I google it…

"What does a mutual fund's Portfolio Turnover Ratio indicate?"
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

On the financial manager side (running the unit trust fund), I guess it will be in the yearly financial report.

On our own portfolio of funds, we have to keep track of it in an excel spreadsheet.

In my excel file, there are 3 main tabs.

In the 1st tab, it is showing the portfolio of funds I am having… similar to what PMO is showing in the Accounts page.

In the 2nd tab, it shows all the switches out.

I kept track of the money I invested separately in a 3rd tab. And any withdrawal is also tracked in this 3rd tab.

Portfolio Turnover ratio = Total amount in Tab 2 / Total amount in Tab 3.

-------------

Since I have recorded the date of each purchases, and also the dates of each switch out, the 2nd tab has switch in and out dates, and the number of days in between the dates; I have also the following summaries for each year:
- Total Amount turnover or switch out, in each year.
- Average number of days holding the purchase before switching out, in each year.
- Average amount of the switches, in each year.

Hence, after many years, I can review back how I much 'trading' I done over the years, getting more chronic or more laissez-faire...
