baker hughes is still hiring for graduate field specialist or not? i applied for the graduate field specialist since february this year and passed the online interview and english test but got no call or email from baker till now. is there anyone who is in the same situation with me? it stated at the submission status for my application is "interview in progress". did baker freeze all their intake?

can someone who works with baker or who knows about this please help me on this.

I applied for graduate field engineer and I've got in the same situation as you. Baker Hughes freezes all recruitment for grads throughout the world. I've read in Nigerian forum that they are also facing this situation. My advice, don't put much hope in it. When the time comes, they will start rehire again but who knows when.

ps: I applied on October 2014. Sad but life must goes on...

Yup still evaluation in progress. But as I mentioned before, there's a slim chance they start rehiring again anywhere within this year. Maybe like our oldtimer said the industry will start kickin in year 2017. But that time we have enormous competitors graduating till that year. Anyway did you get this email?

after i completed the test i got no email from them. do i need send them the result of my test? because in that email stated that "We look forward to receiving your assessment results." or they will get my result straight away after i finished my test?

I think if you need extra clarification, try to get in touch with their HR department. I'm obviously not the man that should be answering the question. But I think the result is immediately sent to Baker. I got another email after that saying I have passed the initial interview and eligible for second one. And after that I got the "position closed" email. I never send anything about the assessment result to them. Anyway you can PM me anytime since we actually rant a lot here. But I'm just a guy with zero knowledge about the industry. So nothing came out from me is credible. Just talk from my shallow experience.

1)kalau accept offer sl1m umw oil and gas, HR umw oil and gas tu ada ckp lps habis program tu diorang xjanji akn absorb as permanent.

pros: - kalau sy accept offer ni sy akn dpt experience dlm bidang sy study
- sy expect kalau perform time on the job training tu maybe dia akn hire
cons: - xsure akn absorb as permanent staff utk umw
- kalau xdpt kerja dgn umw tu xsemestinya dpt offer kerja lain plk after 4 months tu

2)kalau accept offer kerja dari company oil and gas tu sy akan start kerja next month.

pros: - kalau accept offer ni at least dpt kerja drpd duk menganggur kt umah
- dpt experience kerja walaupun tak related dgn bidang sy
cons: - nanti dah start kerja kalau nak lompat kerja yg related bidang sy, rasa mcm rugi plk experience yg dah ada
- rasa rugi belajar engineering 4 tahun tp kerja tak related dgn engineering sbb kerja dia more to buat analysis
- takut bila dah masuk kerja ni susah plk nanti nak masuk engineering

p/s: minat sy more to buat something yg required to go outside office. kerja mcm dkt service company or maybe operator company. sbb kerja analysis tu just kerja office and analyse report. no need to travel to go to platform or plant.
