In your definition do you mean a BP company that only sub out government work to other companies is considered ali baba?

The term ali baba is usually used in reference to stealing.

I applied for graduate field engineer and I've got in the same situation as you. Baker Hughes freezes all recruitment for grads throughout the world. I've read in Nigerian forum that they are also facing this situation. My advice, don't put much hope in it. When the time comes, they will start rehire again but who knows when.

ps: I applied on October 2014. Sad but life must goes on...smile.gif

My application is still in progress from june 2012 till now, so howww.? brows.gif

You sure or not? I think those article are just talk cock only, as per most of the trolls here.
The fact is, upstream suffer more than downstream. Now is the mega refineries to bloom compare to smaller scale refineries whistling.gif
But sadly, RAPID is not considered as mega refinery.
For a refinery that can be justified as mega refinery, it is required to process crude oil that are high in S2, something like Khafji, Oman or Arabian Heavy and yet still Euro4 or higher compliant.

Hydrotest can be as high as 100bar, pneumatic only up to 2bar.

Hmm, the Korean yards are pretty busy at the moment by the looks of it. Personally though, I think FEED stage is much too early to conclude on fabrication contract awards.
Heard recently that one of the super majors froze an FLNG project during FEED, a sign of the times I suppose sweat.gif

Management??, I don't get it...Either two positions, application Eng or Project Eng..the benefit is good though. You still can enjoy unlimited free petrol.

My position as Project Eng. Doing management & commercial almost 80%, another 20% is technical related. Work is not all about salary & benefits. Sometime need to find something that we enjoy doing it. But for the time being, just go on.... rclxms.gif

No news from KNM, maybe my expectation is too high.. cool2.gif
