Gosh, having problem with my PC-7 already. The metal part used to cover those front connectors are already getting loose. A slight bump and that thing will fall down..Any idea how to fix it?
*
that thing holds on mainly by friction...my guess is u open/close so many times the thing worn off already...mebbe u could add some tape or something there to cover back the worn off area? worried about the same thing happening to mine oso...so i tend to just leave it open..but dust sweat.gif

it could also be because ur case fan isnt smooth in that particular area...hence when u screw it in, it causes the panel to bend a little causing the gap.

it could also be that ur fan isnt screwed in properly..one of the corners might be crooked or something

if u want it to be neat, dont screw in tight lor... unless if the screw is loose and the fan vibrates than no choice la.

personally id just leave the screw loose tongue.gif

this is one thing i absolutely hate about lianli...they make ALMOST perfect casings...but never perfect (for me at least).

like this limited edition thing....its got eveything...all so cun... but wats with the 80mm rear fan crap?

or the PC-007. HDD cage vibrates like mad...

plus it seems their designs for their new casings are getting funkier and funkier...aka uglier and uglier. theyve sort of loss that classy look IMHO.

etc etc etc etc etc...

where in gods name can i find the Chenbro Gaming Bomb II or the Akasa Eclipse case here? id much rather get those as they have practically everything i want

does it have to be those 2 choices only?? with that kinda price, y not opt for the PCA10 for just slightly a little more only? good for cooling and no holes in front for dust.

silent...dunno

EDIT: just realized ill need a non-windowed version... otherwise the LEDs from my fans will be disturbing my sleep doh.gif

u mean like this??

user posted image

thats the filter im using right now.... all i need to do is remove the cover u see and wash the filter...no need to unscrew anything.

u can PM uglyvamp for it.. coz i bought mine from him oso..

alternatively u can go ALL IT and check out the aerocool fan. it comes with that kinda filter + fan (not selling seperately). the thing look like spiderweb wan.

EDIT: one thing to note when using this filter... the airflow kinda changes... refer pic

n opening up the front panel aint that hard for me la....just pop it out only... no special tools required tongue.gif

Well, mine that came with the LL are almost these type but its small holes rather than the one like yours..

u mean this??

user posted image

i suggest changing to this...u can unscrew just the filter part for cleaning.

uglyvamp sells them filters quite nicely...and airflow is good too...im using 1 on my CPU HSF fan. reason im not using it in the front is because i wanted something VERY easy to remove and clean...hence the plastic filter in my previous post.

since were on the topic of filters...thought id share this.... i havent done PC maintenance for a VERY LONG time... and see what ive discovered

this filter was used on my HSF...check out the amount of dust on it...

user posted image

now to compare the fan the filter was being used for.

see how clean the fan is...theres dust...but very little... and there was ALMOST ZERO dust on the heatsink itself thumbup.gif

user posted image

so id say this is a good filter....doesnt block out much airflow but blocks out dust like mad.

the filter was so dirty i had to spray water AND scrub it with a brush to get all the dust out doh.gif

for those who wants to know...its the same filter from the pic in my previous post...i bought this filter from uglyvamp. u can get it in his store in the price n dealers guide section under UV stuff (the frame is UV reactive)

did i just notice that the filter comes with 2 parts with "removable" filter?  rclxm9.gif  looks like the filter ring can be taken out!
and kudos....it sure blocks out those greasy, dirty dust!! thanks for sharing man...
*
yep...the ring is removable via 4 small screws... but i dont really like to remove the filter too often...worry that the screw holes will get loose..(that just sounded obscene in my head)

Yea, thats the one that comes with my LL.

And accidentally, thats the same filter i bought from uglyvamp as well in the second picture..LOL..

I do agree its performing very well for me at the moment. Does not generate too much noise and airflow is still acceptable. But i am still trying to look for something better in the same place...

Anyway, even though i could just remove the filters, they are still screwed to the frame. In the end, its still the same job of removing 4 screws. That is why i kinda interested with the plastic one you posted earlier but i am concerned about the airflow as well...
*
heres an idea....get those plastic filters...and just use the frame...the foam put 1 side..

next, get a sieve (that tapis tepung thing) and cut out the mesh to size to fit in the frame and use it with the frame. ive been thinking of doing the same thing laugh.gif

but are the holes on the mosquitoe net as small as a sieve?

ive thought about the same thing...but from the sieves i have at home..their holes are really fine... meaning itll block out more dust.
