RM1700
*
Intel Core i3 4150 - RM 398.56
Asrock H81M-VG4 - RM 178.08
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Value RAM - RM 229
Leadtek GTX750 1GB GDDR5 OC - RM 419
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 189.74
FSP Hexa+ 550W PSU - RM 199
Aerocool V3X Advance - RM 104.94

Total: RM 1718.32 (Price with cents is from Jayacom, the rest without cents is from Viewnet)

Your budget is out of reach of the i5, an i5 + that overpriced Asus B85 mobo already cost you nearly 1k.

Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz
Asrock H81M-VG4
ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB
Kingston HyperX-Fury RAM 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
FSP Hexa+ 550W
Thermaltake Versa H25

This spec sheet is mainly for gaming. However, is this build also sufficient for audio programs (editing, recording, producing)?

It will work, audio editing/recording/producing is not that resource hog compared to video rendering, if you only use for audio program, you can ditch the GPU and spend the money in getting a better PSU and processor.

Sapphire R7 265 is much better and faster than GTX750Ti, you can switch to that if you want.

Hey guys, need a rig recommendation. This will be my first rig. Already have a Dell 24" monitor, keyboard and mouse. I will be needing Windows.

Budget: <RM2k if possible, can go up to RM2.5k if absolutely necessary.
Usage: Dota 2 & CS (Max settings), HD movies (main usage), torrents, occasional CAD softwares, Microsoft Office, multitasking.
Requirements: Reliable and upgradable.

Thanks! biggrin.gif

Asus Maximus VII Ranger is using same sound card as PRO GAMER, Gryphon z97 is M-ATX mobo and using realtek sound card.

Asus products are having "premium" price here, if you want to get best value mobo, go for Asrock, it's always cheaper than other brands and quite reliable, but the Gigabyte Z97X GAming 5 and Asus Z97 PRO GAMER both are almost same price.
