If you're certain you're not going to OC your CPU, why spend money on a CPU cooler at all?

A better move would be to use the stock Intel cooler, which is actually quite decent, and re-appropriate the money saved on other parts.

If want stable and good oc mobo, find those at least with 6 VRM phases like Asus Z97 Pro Gamer, Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 5 etc.

All Z mobos can support CF.

Asus Z97 Pro Gamer - RM 636

I am not sure what's your budget, if < RM 600, you will need to go for Gigabyte Z97X SLI or MSI Z97 Krait but they have lower VRM phase.

Looks good, what about an aftermarket CPU cooler? Read good things about the Corsair H60 and the Noctua D14.. Thing is the case I have is a CM Gladiator 600, which is pretty small

Noctua C14 and D14 are good air cooler but also the most expensive (perhaps?) air cooler in the market now.

I don't think your case can support AIO liquid cooler due to the thick radiator and clearance issue. As for air cooler height, I think it can go up to 147mm, the official specs do not mention thou.

Which one more suit my need? Actually My priority is CPU/SSD because of AdobeIllustrator and Photoshop usage. I got my Liteon 256GB SSD. What my really concern is should up top up RM100 or just get the RM499.

Hi Guys,

Looking for some help from the si fu with rigging a Custom PC.

Budget is RM5000

Purpose of the PC is:

No Gaming
Rendering Movies/Videos
Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Adobe After Effects CC
Audio Production
Prefer to have on board WiFi.
Seperate Sound Card for better Audio Production?
SSD for work and Hard Disk for Storage maybe?
Windows 10 hopefully?
Something that can be on par with the Mac Pro but Not as expensive as this:
MAINGEAR Shift Supercomputer: Part 1! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sTVbeq21dI

If the budget can Include Dell's Untrasharp 29" Monitor that would be great. LOL! (Buffer)

Would be great to hear from you guys because I am bad at this sorta stuff.. especially what hardware works with each other.

Thanks a bunch in advance!! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Single and dual channel RAM have slight impact on boot time only, you better check the startup program in your desktop to find out the culprit.

I will just go for the cheapest one since the GPU will only use as an accelerator.

WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 189
Seasonic M12II EVO 520W - RM 319
Thermaltake Versa H25 - RM 135

Windows 7 Pro OEM * - RM 200
Dell U2913WM IPS - RM 1859

Total: RM 4962 (OS is from Idealtech, others are Viewnet price inclusive of GST)

* Windows 10 is launching 29 July and existing genuine Windows 7/8.1 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.

As for sound card, on-board sound card is not that bad actually and low end dedicated sound card is not going to give you much performance increase, so you might have to spend a lot in sound card if you are really keen to get one to boost the audio performance. I do not include it in this build unless you are willing to sacrifice the expensive monitor.

Corsair H100i/H100i GTX?

I am using H100i, no pump noise issue, it is totally silent when it is on quite mode, a little noise when on balanced mode due to increased fan speed of fans.
