Feel like to change MSI SLI Krait to ASUS Maximus VII Hero hmm.gif
*
Not worth it.Costs around RM1k,but you only need the Z97 for 2 PCI-E x16 slots to run dual cards..in which MSI Z97-SLI Krait has and is the cheapest AFAIK.

Why not upgrade the GTX 750 Ti to the 2GB edition or get the R7 265 instead?
Also, I think can upgrade the Intel Core i3 4150 to Intel Core i5 4460 3.2GHz at RM670-ish.
*
The GPU terence_nwb suggested is GTX750,not GTX750Ti. tongue.gif Ti is its brother.

thanks for the feedback guys!
since my initial budget was 2k,
i thought it was good to max cheapest 240gb ssd,
which in turn is not the wisest choice thanks to your suggestion notworthy.gif

so im thinking of opting only 120gb ssd, mainly for booting my OS
any recommendation? hmm.gif

Ok so after thinking it through and through I was thinking of either a R9 270 or the R7 260. Will it be good enough to be powered by the FSP 450+?

Quite scared actually. I just hope it can be managed. Since I'm only going to use these cards for only a couple of month before getting another rig later this year.
*
Hmm,should be fine. Will be on the edge, though.I'd suggest GTX750Ti if you want to be safe. wink.gif

1) Xeon E3-1231 V3
or
2)i5-4690k

for gaming?

Ok I will build it myself then. Anyway refer to your earlier comment:

- so Hybrid drive will not help me in anyway in terms of gaming? (Let's say, use my existing SSD as O/S drive, and hybrid drive to store whatever and game installation)

I check around the web, looks like most of the gamer are suggesting 4690 as best value CPU, hm... I probably go with this. (Or pay a little more for 4790) Now all I need is patiently wait for 980ti's info. (or any chances for 970ti?  drool.gif )
*
Gaming performance has nothing to do with SSD/HDD performance. It won't boost nor reduce FPS. tongue.gif

Most of the gamers suggesting i5 4690 is still the best CPU,but for me,Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 is the best bang for buck.Games are taking advantage of more cores and threads..the latter has 4 cores and 8 threads, the former has 4 cores and 4 threads.

So far, there are no rumours about GTX970Ti.

seriously consider R9 280x, its a more powerful card compare to 960. (taking away little tiny games that got paid by nvidia to crimple amd).
which means more power/value.

it also has 4GB vram which nowadays is kinda important in games like GTA V, Shadow of Mordor, etc.
*
But then, you also need a better PSU. tongue.gif

Since when there's a 280X with 4GB vRAM. whistling.gif

QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ May 26 2015, 03:34 PM)
wait win 10 official release only u buy. no point buy win 8.1 oem now. u will get free upgrade win 10 but only 1 yr.

i3 still running dual core with HT & i5 is quad core w/o HT.

if u not OC any processor, just pick any B85 or H97 mobo.

the remaining money always spend on monitor that suit ur preferences. now u should pick mobo that come with PCI-e 3.0. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ >> go read it

PCI-e 2.0 is older version from H81 mobo. try to avoid using old generation.

important pick Tier 1 PSU & build ur own rig. no need ask those shops. youtube got a lot guideline how to build pc.
*
That isn't correct.

People that use Windows 7 or 8.1 get a free upgrade to Windows 10 if they upgrade it to the latter within the first year. It'll permanently be yours.
If you want to upgrade..let's say 1 year and 1 day since Windows 10 was released, you need to pay.

Let's just hope Microsoft won't turn it into subscription, that would suck so bad. doh.gif
