Hi there, I just order one k3 note from lazada. Does it necessary to root the phone before use? Any problem u guys facing with the stock rom? Pls advice. Thanks

You dont need to root. But you might want to flash custom recovery and then ROW rom.

There's no need for custom recovery for ROW ROM. Just flash it via Flash Tool. PC needed.
If you want to use Chinese ROM, then you need custom recovery to flash and install Google apps.
For noobs, I recommend ROW ROM. For advanced users who cannot settle on one ROM, choose Chinese ROM.

u can get all the tools needed for flashing the rom

for me both is quite stable, if u don't want any hassle to flashing custom recovery or new update, better go for ROW rom, it got ota and easier to use. but for me chinese rom is more beautiful tongue.gif

If ur contact no start frm +6 then u should use row rom...

Is it possible to flash back the stock rom to claim warranty?

In order flash back the stock rom to claim warranty,
mean do we need to backup the stock rom before flash ROW rom?
or we can just grab stock rom file from internet and flash in?

latest chinese rom 1529st bug fix (that i know of) :

1. led notification for 3rd party apps (whatsapp, fb, twitter, etc.)
2. can edit build.prop for weather fix.

still smooth, no known new bug. so far so good thumbup.gif

You can try Ampere app (playstore)to check if there currents are properly flowing into your battery. It should read at least 1500mA - 1800mA

have u try update to s117? it is now available using ota .. maybe can fix that problem
