I connect Mibox optical output directly to external speaker and not using TV speaker. I tried bluetooth as well both are having the same issue so i guess the problem is from the Mibox itself.

If you are talking about Astro GO, it won't work. But I hear Astro now doing beta testing on Astro TV (without satellite) and I do hear the beta works on MI Box S.

Anyone have any experience watching 4K HDR bluray remux on Mibox S? Hows the playback like? Is the Mibox able to handle high bitrate content? And what about dolby atmos passthrough? Will the mibox passthrough dolby atmos to my soundbar?

That the issue, nowadays should only use HDMI as sound output. If your external speaker not support, then probably is time think about changing to sound system support HDMI eARC / ARC.

I am using Ethernet USB with adapter connected, it working better than WiFi

Mi Box had difficulty playback 4K HDR REMUX, the box is too weak to handle REMUX. Also not support of Dolby Atmos.

If you need all, go for Nvidia Shield TV 2019.

If you don't might no Dolby Atmos in TrueHD, go for Apple TV 4K, this device is very powerful and can handle all types of REMUX but only support Dolby Atmos in DD+ not in TrueHD. The rest format will auto switch to Multi Channel PCM. I am ok with this as you can't find many Dolby Atmos REMUX also.

Today, I tried my Denon 3500h Receiver with my home theatre system, 7.2 with fixing ceiling mid speakers, amazing my Xiao mi S box produce Dolby Atmos at Netflix movie 6 underground.

You can use any ftp/sftp server apk and sideload it to mibox. To access files on mibox just use any ftp/sftp client software on your pc/android.

I personally use this app as a server on mibox and use filezilla as client on my pc.

I'm using X-plore File Manager which u can get it from Google Play Store. Definitely u have google account and free google drive so access your google drive from X-plore File Manager and vice-versa.
not very difficult and I use this way to copy my files vice versa.

In fact, this Atmos is scalling from my Amplifier, netflix can only support Xiaomi S Box in DD 5.1. I finally changed to DD 5.1 channel.

There is no TrueHD for Netflix...
