Just know that netflix is not supported by Play Next . I wonder why my Play Next is always empty ...

The Google "Play Next" is so like Apple "TV" which mostly only work for it own apps. Netflix didn't work for both, I read this is due to Netflix refuse share it catalog with others, thus it won't work.

iFlix will work only if they share the catalog, else it is not working either.

The Play Next suppose work in YouTube but it is not, maybe it only work in YouTube Red.

So in short, if you don't have any Google Play Movies then it probably always empty.

anybody also getting the Wi-Fi disconnect/reconnect issue which many other Mi Box users in other countries are getting as well ?

I read some people facing this issue but mine is working fine. Strange is mine actually work better, previously I can't connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi but now it can.

Hi everyone

After sharing your concerns with the Xiaomi Mi TV team, a decision has been reached to halt more Public Oreo OTA updates going to other Mi Box 3 International users.

The official count on devices is high, I can't publish the exact data for obvious reasons. This week an OTA will be published for ALL users so there is no need / requirement for asking to join the BETA for now.

The urgent issues of HDCP 2.2 and NTFS will be fixed first to stem the bigger issue of inoperable boxes. We will continue to liaise with Mi TV department to solve these issues for our users. Bare in mind xiaomi.eu is not responsible for these issues, we are only here trying to work with Xiaomi Beijing to solve the issue.

Ah, no wonder. I was trying to update just now since I had YouTube problem. After update realized still 6.01 and even tried restart few times. Now I knew why...

Hi guys, want to ask, looking to buy a chromecast or mi box, which is the better choice?

Also is it recommended to buy mi box international version from xiaomimy.com ?
Is the extra rm68 for jailbreak worth it? Can watch free movies and tv shows ?

If U keep change device to device to watch (Hotel TV- Home TV- PC- Car monitor etc). Better buy chromecast. Small & easy to set up while travel. Apps on the phone.
If U watch on same TV. Better buy mi box. No need phone to control. Can install apps like myiptv etc.

As far that I know lazada sell the cheapest international version mi box, price keep change everyday (but between RM219-259) not including code voucher discount.
Actually jailbreak or not, depend on U know how to install apps & whether U like the apps or not. Some free, some need to pay.

I hope Xiaomi rolls out the updated 'update' for those of us that are on Oreo as soon as possible.cant believe this is happening to a reputable company like Xiaomi. shakehead.gif

Hi sifus i am currently owning 1 unit of mibox 3s international version. As i just aware this model does not support netflix in google playstore. Can some one recommend me a stable version of Netflix apk file that is compatible with it.

One more thing U need to know.
4K Ultra chromecast cost 2times more than mi box.
Normal chromecast (which same price wt mi box) also ok but no 4K, HDR & Dolby tech.
It depend what u need.

Just notice some Oreo bugs related connecting to bluetooth speaker.
  • Netflix not in 4K or 4K HDR when pair with bluetooth speaker.
  • Google Play Movies cannot playback movie and give error.
  • Amazon Video give hissing buzz sound when play the movie.
Above 3 issues gone when unpair my 2.1 bluetooth speaker.
