If U keep change device to device to watch (Hotel TV- Home TV- PC- Car monitor etc). Better buy chromecast. Small & easy to set up while travel. Apps on the phone.
If U watch on same TV. Better buy mi box. No need phone to control. Can install apps like myiptv etc.

As far that I know lazada sell the cheapest international version mi box, price keep change everyday (but between RM219-259) not including code voucher discount.
Actually jailbreak or not, depend on U know how to install apps & whether U like the apps or not. Some free, some need to pay.

One more thing U need to know.
4K Ultra chromecast cost 2times more than mi box.
Normal chromecast (which same price wt mi box) also ok but no 4K, HDR & Dolby tech.
It depend what u need.

Can anyone share if "myiptv" & netflix stable or not in 8.0 update?
I still not update from 6.01 to 8.0.
