QUOTE(aliesterfiend @ Jul 28 2016, 04:17 PM) I decided to go skylake and ddr4. Got skylake that support ddr3 but not the type of ram that I have. Once I build my new rig, how much can I get to sell my old cpu + mobo + ram ? Anyway, anyone here preordered the Beastmen? I guess I'm gonna pass this first as I still haven't played VC, Chaos and Greenskin. Maybe wait until year end sale la before I buy or if I finish those 3 campaigns earliet and have the urge to play more sooner. Right now I'm also trying to complete The Last Roman and Umayyad of Cordoba on Attila. oo skylake ddr3 is low voltage wan only can. need to survey the used price for that to know how much roughly. good luck with the sales. still waiting for big sale and maybe when most DLC is out like Attila only buy, since still havent finish Attila :S and not too interested in Warhammer.

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Jul 28 2016, 04:21 PM) I see, all the best for your new com nope not gonna buy till they have all bundled up. bought it to test and have chaos this game seems to run much better than attila right? Yeah. Much better. With amd, dx12 runs much better on my old pc even. I put almost everything on ultra, no aa and shadows low and can get average 25 fps, though I'm running 1600x900 resolution. I can get over 30 with 1920x1080 but have to reduce unit numbers to Normal though. Unfortunately I can't play Total War except on the highest unit count though.

Yeah. I decided to go skylake all the way. i3-6100 even on par with i5-2500 or i5-4440 already. With dx12, most of the graphics has been handled by gpu so maybe next month or the next I'll get rx 480. I see on garage sales peopel are selling i3-2100 without hsf for 180 som maybe I can get around 280 together with mobo and hsf?

RX 480! you getting which version? i am underwhelmed with Nitro+ cooling and their OC tbh. i think later got XFX/PowerColor coming, so more choices. GTX 1060 is good also actually, at most it lose by a few FPS in DX12 for TW:W, RM1250 for Palit Dual and it OC quite well. hmm i'm not familiar with the used hardware prices but maybe you can put slightly higher, since many people will ask for best price and try to lower it, from my experience.

Not sure yet. Or probably rx 470 if it shows good review. For me, as long as I can get stable 30 fps is enough. I don't play games that requires 100fps anyway lol....

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Jul 28 2016, 08:09 PM) i see always thought need 60 fps Human eyes can only see at 30 fps only. Anyway normal people wants to reavh 60 id because of the dips and spikes so if dips low, let's say to 40 fps, you wont feel any difference unless you're looking at frame rate counter. When I say 30 fps stable, I actualky mean trying to get around average 40+ fps so that even it dips down it wont go below 30 fps. AMD with DX 12 shows more stability so you wont see low dips and high spikes, unlike Rome 2 benchmark. Maybe once I finish everything I will post some screens. Probably best if I do something today using current rig so can have bettet comparison how much I gain, if any with hardware upgrades tomorrow.

Total War benchmark is bullshit. I think it doesn't take CPU load into account. Here's my i7 2600 bottleneck on 2v2 battle. Warhammer: Total Slideshow. http://i.imgur.com/Uy8CbVO.jpgEven in Shogun 2, my fps sometimes dropped below 20 in large battles.
