guys, anyone experience framerate dips specifically on large skirmishes? Had some problems with it. I'm playing on ultra settings on RX 480 @1080. Care to share what your settings are just so I can play at a decent framerate.

I think their best selling is still Empire and not very surprising Rome II.

I always wanted the warring states as the main game and the 3 kingdoms as DLC/expansion.

There's always dips when large battles especially on ultra unit sizes. What's ur cpu? I'm planning to buold my new rig base on 480 too. Just want to see how others setups fare up in TW games.

A friend of mine works at Games Workshop. They obviously are very happy about the reception of TWW. Not sure if it'll top Rome 2. But personally I Hope it does. At least it's one of the better ones compared to the top two.

Honestly Im tempted with the RX480 too, but nothing is taxing my system to the max. Pushing down settings to high always seems ok to me. Besides I know for a fact the high demand will push the price of the new NVIDIA and AMD cards to be expensive. Which is why I'm giving it a few months. No rush.

Look at the article date,may 28..so its been confirm more than a month ago .

Best selling Total War game to date is Empire around 3 Million plus,followed by shogun 2 then Rome 2.
Warhammer have yet to reach the 1 million mark atleast according to Steam which i think is the platform its sold digitally since if you bought the game from other site it will give you a key that you need to access through Steam but since more stuff is to come for Warhammer its only a matter of time since the game just came out not even 2 months yet.


I really want a warring state china,that would be ideal as the next historic TW game for me personally.i dont want rotk to be honest because thats based on historical novel not really historically. I love ROTK games but they have been getting worse.

Maybe I should revert back to high instead of Ultra. I always choose "recommended" with the impression that the system knows my settings better. Btw, my CPU is i5 4670 with a RX480. Not going to upgrade anytime soon though.

I'm completely new to the franchise and I really enjoy the tactical battle and characters still trying to get a feel on how the control works and other aspects of movement. Awesome experience so far

RX 480 should be able to ultra according to benchmarks, but in game FPS is more important than benchmark.

maybe try turning down the Shadow Detail.

Warhammer is also very CPU dependant, on core clock frequency and CPU cores:

sure you can run it,i just dont know how your fps will turn out.

I am using a 47inch LED TV as a monitor so I am fine as long as it is averaging about 60fps (via v-sync)

If not, I will wait until I get a new GPU within this month.

just get the game,surely you can lower the setting until you get ur new gpu if it doesnt work out but i think it will run fine to behonest
