Is there any Tuya Zigbee smart lock available out there? Tried going through shopee and lazada and seems like the only easily available Zigbee smart lock is from Aqara...

with the board printed T1 UK Touch V1.0 2018.10.17

im trying to flash tasmota and facing few challenges...
1. This board required additional connection to R19, in order to bring it to flash mode. stucked for few hours here, need to google alot.
when i saw the wifi light no longer blinking im so happy.

2. My PL2303HXA driver installed by default. i tot it was okay.
then i saw the driver written by win11 outdated.
another challange here to identify this problem.
need to downgrade the driver in order for it to work.

3. finally my tasmatizer showing uploading box.
then another issue, it cant connect... f*** f*** f***
i tried to changed the port settings, parity, etc etc, none of it works.
im still stuck here... have to gv up for now, too tired and sleepy.

praying someone here have solutions for me by the time i woke up. 🙏🏻

1. not the same board, in the pic that is EU board.
but the board's R19 is in the same position, the same spot where I did the bridging.

2. I did the contact to R19 for 2 to 10seconds, didn't solder.

3. didnt use different power supply, but I tried swapping the USB port on my notebook.
ohh I used breadboard to split the grd, so that I can bridge the R19

4. gonna try SonOTA, coz I have few old units which I bought in 2019. 👍🏻

Just to clarify, I did managed to bring the board to flashmode. from the indicator my wifi led no longer blink.
but unable to flash, coz tasmotizer or other flashing apps could not be connect to the board.
that why I play around with the PL2303 port settings.

and I downloaded the version checker released by the PL company, it able to get the chipset model and version.
because of this I temporary believe this PL2303 is working fine.
if still failed, then I might want change to other serial adapter module.

so far managed to flash 2 units, and i found the wifi is abit weird.
it very hard to connect to my 2.4G.
the connection connect then disconnect and in the loop.

im seated next to my AP, like 3meters away 🫣

ok will play around with the wifi power, but today i must finish flash all the AP first

Is there a way to infer that a power outage has occured without using smart whatever at the fusebox?

i.e. just by condition of smart wall switches and sockets.
because if there is sudden outage, i assume the switches will have no time to report itself. then it's up to the management server to report of it being offline 30minutes later.

fibre and mesh is UPS-backed, so network uptime to an 1hr is possible, though not tested to max.

im scared rite now...
i flashed all my 1 gang and 2 gang switch, almost 90% have difficulty connection to wifi.
it will connect, but sometime it on boot looping...

since i decided to venture into more adventurous route, i decided to close 1eye and hopefully it was my wifi issue.

then i started to flash 4units of my 3gangs, 1 of it is an old unit.
and the result is there are 3units having Ghost Switching issues.

this time, i really started to sweat and doubt about tasmota.
I have put on hold flashing for the rest of my units until i found the solutions.

Result, ghost switching issue.

The template for 1Gang and 2Gang having the same parameter for both UK and EU variants.
but there are slight different for the 3Gang, im wondering is this the issue

yup, the switch will on or off by itself.
i read the issue is with MQTT misconfiguration, but i ady switch off the MQTT.

there might be few issue with the esp compatibility issue with the asus router.
1. ARP table -> im using IP binding... will try to disable it
2. Wireless-N with WMM -> will try to set b/g only wifi. or wireless-n without wmm
3. Wireless AX -> i originally aldy disabled this for my 2.4G wifi
4. Lower the power of the wifi -> 17 to 8.5 (not sure where to set this)

actually from your experiences, does esphome better than tasmota?
i still got time to decide before fully commited to tasmota~

Oh thats weird. My Maxis Wifi6 router is configured stock, never touched it since they installed it. But when i clicked on manage home wifi it just says “We are not able to test your Wifi at the moment, Click contact us for assistance (mma).” Im guessing remote access is not available to me ?

Thats good that you have an LTE connected router, that you can reboot the Maxis one. I cant.. cos if i turn off the smart switch which is connected to a router, theres no way to turn it back on. However, i’ve read on reddit that there are some smart plugs that can turn on after being turned off.

I think it can also be done on HA, but i’m on homebridge and Homekit.. HA is abit too complicated for me.

Is there any place I should add wall socket or anything for renovation? (double storey terrance)

-wall socket on stairs, for mesh if needed
-wall socket near curtain for smart curtain
-wall socket at car porch for cctv

Thanks for the reply. I’d really love to be able to tinker again.. but life with kids.. really got no time to play around with gadgets anymore. Thats why i prefer homebridge. Home assistant is a rabbit hole that really goes deep.

Even in my homebridge setup, i’ve steered away from Zigbee2MQTT and node red. No time to research, understand and trial and error. The house gotta be always functioning.. Else later home minister complain.. haha

But so far for my house i’ve gone offical Homekit (Aqara/Zemismart+Tuya+Dohome) + Homebridge (Xiaomi/ewelink/dummy switches/network presence/delay switches/contact left open/ffmpeg for cameras). Managed to get 60% done so far. Still thinking of how to get a smart plug that can power back on without tinkering with ESP/TASMOTA/Portisch.

I have a simple smart home set up all using aqara and xiaomi into one app and for my auto gate it's using tuya smart.

I have porch lights and side porch lights that needs to have timer since I on it throughout the night. Thing is aqara smart switch is damn expensive 100+ per switch 3 gang and got chance will spoil also. So I'm considering those cheap non-zigbee smart switch for my porch and side lights and maybe even the gate globe lights. Can someone recommend me something that fits inside the switch box or small enough to fit inside the light housing so it's not visible?

Ps: hacked apk for mihome exist that allows many devices locked to mainland China region to work in Malaysia/Singapore server region. This allowed me to use China cheaper aqara/xiaomi devices with global ones without changing region all in one app. Problem is I can't add tuya inside since it's global

i have a lot of these switch pairs inside my home.
which i have already ascertained that each multi-gang switches and each 20A switches are connected to different circuit breakers. so in the reference picture alone, there are 2 breakers involved.
all the multi-gang switches does not have their own neutral. only 20A switches do.
(all 20A switches have their own not-shared exclusive breaker, for avoidance of doubt.)

question:
is it possible for me to buy multi-gang tuya wifi SMART switches WITH its neutral line connected to the 20A's neutral line instead?

does the Taobao link item work with Ewelink app?

i am still looking for 4-gang zigbee wall switches.
1/2/3 are common. 4 are mostly wifi.
if possible i want a rocker-type switch which will be intuitive enough, but most on the market for 4-gang are wifi +glass touch.

Exactly, i dont want the touch switches and i dont want anything thats not zigbee. There arent any zigbee 4 gangs out there yet. If i understand, you want the rocker style switches that are toggles right? It doesnt rock up and down like a conventional switch.

Yeah, still looking, waiting for TUYA or Aqara to make some of those.
