Zigbee devices can transmit data over long distances by passing data through a mesh network of intermediate devices to reach more distant ones.

Fresh from oven, the neutral on my ac not same phase with my normal switch. All doesn’t work

So I’m shelving my plan now until i can find a nice switch without neutral

If anyone needs Sonoff switches, I have extra for let go .
*
How about RF switches with RM pro? After I change one 3 Gang and add a neutral, I am giving up on smart switch that needs neutral, too messy.

No issue, suggesting for him to use RF switch so no need neutral.

Good idea also. Just don't use RM Pro and use Sonoff RF bridge with Tasmota for his Home Assistant.

Nope. Majority flashing of Sonoff products don't need soldering.
Check below video for OTA flashing and Serial flashing using an adapter on a T1.
