I'm using Paradox alarm at home, subscribed to their Insite Gold... however what ticks me is, the response is so so so slow... Been trying to find, is there a way to integrate it for local control? Via HomeKit perhaps.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 6 2023, 01:25 AM) just found out that Philips have a smart lock now that supports Tuya / Smartlife instead of their own Easykey app I prefer Tuya app over EasyKey... at least Tuya can HomeBridge haha... zzz mine now very bodoh... but on the side note its quite responsive lah when someone unlocks or open etc it notify fast.https://www.lazada.com.my/products/official...ysaArn7EALw_wcB |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 6 2023, 12:39 PM) Face detection in smart lock is a bit of a gimmick for me I've been using Philips DDL702-8HW since Dec'22 until today. So far the face recognition rarely fail at all... and no need to purposely bend down or what... the camera is somewhat angled upwards. Only thing is, its faster la to use fingerprint actually, cause for the lock to wake up, you need stand in front of the lock and it wakes up for the detection. Probably 1-2 seconds. QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 6 2023, 02:44 PM) How's your experience with it so far? Any issues? Mine claimed warranty for the touch sensor faulty Using Li Ion battery or normal battery cells? My concern with Li Ion is need to charge when its depleted (although most company claim it should last 6 - 12 months), and when the battery health is deteriorated it might be difficult to find replacement Normal battery cells can just replace anytime and your lock will be ready My model is using 8x AA battery, so far have not exhausted the batteries. Should last about 6 months. Next round gonna probably try 8x 1.2v NiMH see if it could run. Then can save up on batteries ZeneticX liked this post

QUOTE(weiersen @ Apr 9 2023, 07:25 AM) Slight modification on the control board. You need 1 gang switch and can integrated with carplay, just say ' i'm home' you'll see magic 😉. Depend on the customer. Add 12v relay?I’m using Athom relay now, works fine. Configured “open autogate” and “close autogate” to trigger it. It has some sort of built in homebridge so I can use HomeKit to control. QUOTE(epicure @ Apr 12 2023, 01:27 PM) I think i pretty much got my solution, after a lengthy discussion with my friend Which alarm panel is this btw? The 12V + and 12V - outputs from the alarm panel, will feed into a 12VDC relay, which then i will output to a Normally open and COM pair of cables. Then i will solder these to a reed sensor on a zigbee door sensor, which will then give me a closed door for when the alarm is armed, and open door when alarm is open. Then all i need to do is create an automation in homekit, which says that when that certain door is closed, then arm the aqara security , which will then show me a symbol of alarm being armed. In essence, when the main wired alarm is armed, then the aqara alarm is also armed (pretty convenient). Now i just gotta buy the items to get this into motion. Also, the alarm panel has a remote in.. which means that you can actually wire up a traditional RF receiver from autogate to the alarm panel. However, since i’m goin the smart route, i will be getting a zigbee module with RF built in. That way, i can arm and disarm using Tuya/Homekit/Google Home/Alexa and also use RF remote 433Mhz to arm the alarm. In a nutshell, 1. Tuya/Homekit/Google Home/Alexa and also use RF remote 433Mhz to arm the alarm. 2. Alarm Panel will output 12V DC+ to relay, which will activate door reed sensor, and arm aqara alarm - to show dumb alarm is armed. All will be present in Homekit, in theory. now just gotta get these items and try it out. Thanks! I'm using Paradox and been trying to see how I'm able to arm/disarm via HomeKit. I have the Insite Gold subscription but.. its pretty slow and crap. |

QUOTE(epicure @ Apr 13 2023, 09:03 AM) U can have a look at your alarm wiring diagram, maybe you can also tap the terminals so that you can use the alarm’s basic functions outside of the main app.. Is there a system that could… kinda mimic the keypad perhaps?Yes, the server sometimes is slow to load up, sometimes it doesnt even load at all. |

QUOTE(Max @ Apr 13 2023, 10:37 PM) Not recommended to use with regulator fan. Aqara has no neutral type, no need capacitor.Induction load always kacau with non Neutral switch. Else u need to use 2 gang type, 1st gang for resistive load, 2nd gang maybe can be use with fan. Btw im not sure those Aqara type switch, as i mainly use sonoff switch. Aqara need capacitor bypass? QUOTE(PowerGadget @ Apr 14 2023, 08:58 AM) Thanks for your reply Max! Your wiring has neutral cable right? If yes then should be no problem. I'm using D1 with neutral cable for my entire house (minus a few switches). So far all worked fine... weather it is ceiling fan, wall fan or exhaust fan in the bathroom.I am currently using 2 gang type with neutral switch so I think there won't be needing any capacitor. So I should try to interchange the 1st gang and 2nd gang wiring? Thanks for reply celciuz, I am using aqara 2 gang with neutral. Would it be still suitable for regulator fan? QUOTE(PowerGadget @ Apr 14 2023, 09:12 AM) Thanks for your reply once gain ,celciuz. Oh no, my fans are all remote control. No regulator box. Ugh, this one I'm not too familiar... my previous home I also using no neutral version with remote. Yes I just pulled a neutral wire from nearby aircond switch although it's not the right way to do so... Wondering whether your fan has regulator box like mine? Those old style "school" fan that can turn from 0 up to 5 speed. But generally... it should not "reset" the switch... maybe the taikors here with experience with regulator fans can advise better. QUOTE(PowerGadget @ Apr 17 2023, 03:12 PM) Thank you very much for all of your helps! I really appreciate such support from you all. Are you using Aqara or perhaps using HomeKit? If using HomeKit, then I’m using Athom which I ordered from AliExpress. It’s a relay type, connect to the board and I tap power from the 12v battery. So far using a few weeks very reliable. Now I don’t need to bring remote out 😆 (only when power failure I guess or when internet is down 🤣).I already managed to install my Aqara H1 switch and act purely just as switch. Then just use the regulator for speed like usual. Do you guys have any good suggestion that could control dcmoto autogate remotely? Just placed my order for dc moto 925 autogate. And any suggestion for smart home cctv system as well? New to smart home system and a lot to learn from you all. PowerGadget liked this post

QUOTE(blibala @ Apr 19 2023, 02:06 AM) Is aqara good and considered a having good quality over tuya? Aqara has wide range of accessories and when I was surveying for HomeKit compatible, Aqara supported and it was more affordable than Terncy.Thinking to install it for my new house. Build quality is alright for the D1 switches, I think the H1 are metal build and even nicer. |

Wait... Aqara is running local?
I have both the Aqara app and HomeKit... I usually control via HomeKit, but when I control via Aqara app... it lags (seems like via cloud). |

QUOTE(PowerGadget @ Apr 21 2023, 10:04 PM) Thanks once again for your help dest! Will try to source for it on Shopee or Lazada 👍 Depends on your requirement, my gate is Dcmoto. It only has single input.. open both gates 😅 a bit stupid this thing. Anything don’t know install maybe can look for you for advise again 😂 Any other smart item that you bought and feel it’s well worth the price? Thanks Nate! Really appreciate it. You bought 1 channel one as well? What’s the difference between 1ch or 2ch? Is it that if 1ch we can’t control the gate open one leaf or both leaf? One thing I plan to do in future is just connect a 4 channel to the remote. Then trigger remote so I can do left or right side or both. PowerGadget liked this post

QUOTE(epicure @ Apr 26 2023, 09:23 PM) Just wanted to update, it works ! So your alarm system can be armed by that 12V relay? Neat... mine need to type in keypad number before it arm or disarm... I can't use this concept I guess?ZigBee smart switch arms/disarms the vivos (works in homekit and tuya). When armed, vivos alarm sends 12V to the DV relay which closes the loop of a ZigBee contact sensor, giving me a status in homekit/tuya. Once contact sensor is open or closed, stateful dummy switch turns on or off accordingly, allowing me to use that in Google home to announce that the vivos alarm is armed. Works all ways. Keypad engages the relay. Vivos app engages the relay. Homekit/ tuya engages the relay. Couldn't be happier. |

QUOTE(epicure @ Apr 27 2023, 07:39 AM) umm not really, if you go back to my post, i can arm with a Normally Open and COM input Got it, need to check my board if it supports such arm/disarm. Would be nice to have this function.the 12V relay is status of the alarm output to the 12V relay + contact sensor combo I think you probably can look for your wiring diagram to see if you can use or not. My one also uses keypad or app. QUOTE(epicure @ Apr 27 2023, 07:49 AM) Aqara zigbee devices are local when they are controlled using homekit. but when used in Aqara/Mi Home app, they run on the cloud Ah ok, so its the same as what I'm experiencing.
