What would be the cheapest hub for z wave? My Samsung lock which I've been using for awhile happens to be zw compatible, if the hub is not too exp, thought I'd give it a try.

Got both battery or power but battery for big lock cannot last that long but if no battery 

I think padlock type like use finger print is more viable. This can last very long

That long? I guess if the lock is smooth, but after some time the the door bolt can experience some resistance due to sagging. Thus this may use more power and shortened the battery life, I think.

Been considering Samsung also but not sure it is just remove and replace on my current door lock. 

How long have you been using the Samsung? Read about problem in its touch sensitivity degradation.

Can you swap the Samsung for the Aqara N200, as in will it fit ? Im using a Samsung lock and I noticed its abit longer and the locksmith had to remove some wood to fit.

Hi, want to ask if anyone bought digital door lock from taobao or bought directly from Korea? I see the branded ones like gateman and Samsung on shopee all very expensive. In physical shops even more expensive. So am thinking to buy directly from taobao or Korea.

hello, have you try automation from mihome app before? If yes could you share the delay different?

Currently i using aqara hub connect to china mainland, i have one automation to switch off 5 x D1 3 gang and 4 x 2 gang, off air purifier those..  i use a wireless switch to trigger this automation. Usually when i press the wireless switch it would need like 3-5 seconds before the automation start and required 30 seconds- 1 min for the whole automation to complete.

i wondering am i setting the automation wrongly causing the delay, or it was meant to be for home->mi server->home.

Not sure if you have something similar running with rpi with hassio, if yes could you share the time delay?

actually i been looking hassio documentation, i do have quite numbers of devices that doesnt not support by hassio which is why i still stuck with mihome.

aqara hub is just for aqara switches, sensor, curtain any aqara zigbee devices. Aqara hub is homekit compatible, so you can see your smart devices in ios home app and control them.

Actually dooya motors are more expensive than aqara/xiaomi/etc. It’s a shame they don’t have a newer model without integration with smart hubs. If I’m going for the RF route the integration is lebih.

I missed the boat yesterday so I’m not gonna rush the purchase.

For aqara I know it doesn't support switches, only some sensors if I am not mistaken. But there are ways to get them all working (home assistant) but that is not a noob friendly.

and how about sensor? does google support aqara sensor as well?

Homekit is local so no its not slow. But you will still have to pair to some server to get it into your app first and paired with the hub and then you import it to HomeKit.

I was using Aqara to. HomeKit directly but now its Aqara to Home Assistant then to HomeKit.
