On the Frigate, I did try to install into my HA on Virtual Machine (VM) but notice the Host CPU usage is at high side. Maybe it more suitable on a dedicated hardware.

Lets say i buy Aqara M3, i see M3 has Matter support, can i buy other brand switches with Matter such as OEM Tuya? can this other brand matter switches connect to Aqara M3 and appear in Aqara Home/SmartThings app?

i started smart home devices years ago with miHome.
( I have door sensors, smoke sensor, lights, temperature sensors, switch cube etc)
In those days, I had to connect to the China server, and it was fine.
Lately, if I want to add new devices (I wanted to add a new gateway), it always gives errors and is slow. Not only that, I cant really see device status quickly. I am getting so annoyed.

I want to build my new ecosystem. If possible, I would like to re-use my existing sensors.

Can you guys recommend me which brand I should consider? I prefer cheaper one, and can also do simple scheduling.

Has anyone installed Shelly Pro 3EM to monitor energy load and solar export to grid? I already have solar panels installed with Hoymiles microinverters and a DTU, and I'm interested to track how much energy my house use, and how much end up being exported to TNB. Also can I just hire any electrician to install this for me?

N years ago, my eletrictian asked me to get a no-neutral smart switch, so, bought a no-neutral wifi + rf433mhz 3 gang switch, installed with a capacitor on my first lamp, follow by another lamp and ac fan.

Recently the switch start to be not responding, probably due to wear & tear, thus, finding back a similar smart switch. I prefer the kind with 'press' function, not the touch screen type.

But nowadays, the 'press' type in the market thats come with Wifi + Rf433mhz are all 'Need Neutral', can't find any is no neutral.

So my humble noobie question
1. If there is a fan, does it means it actually have a neutral wire inside?
2. Or, if I die die install a Neutral require switch, what scenario will happen?

Two more of my MOES Zigbee smart switch kaput after just 3 years of use (failed just shy of 4 months of each other). This time it was installed at a different house. I guess no more MOES switch for me. Any suggestion on safer SIRIM/St approved Zigbee smart switch?
