Money provide you with the best players to help you in the title charges, but it is not everything. Manager for me is the most crucial part of a successful club.

Renieri failed, AVB failed, Scolari failed, others just did okay (RDM is an exception)..only Carlo and Jose that proven to manage Chelsea...but all was given the resources and money to be successful.

Money gets you the marquee signings and the best players and with this, half the battle is already won. I mean look at your keepers. Courtois n Cech. And compare with Liverpool. Mignolet and Brad freakin Jonesss.

Di Matteo doesnt even need to be brilliant to win Champions League. All Im saying is...it requires less effort from the managers if you have great players at your disposal.

To hire a good manager n staffs also required a lot of money... and those good managers love to spend big on players with huge salary...

That's why you need a top manager to top the league.
Money is the sole ingredient, Hughes failed to win the league with Mancity despite given financial support to buy players.

Look at how JM spent over the last summer.
Costa, Fabregas, Matic, worth less than 70 mil, but the teams look entirely difference compared with last year with the new addition.
This is what people called, spot on to improve the team weakness.

Compared to

Liv spent 100 mil, on Balo, Lallana, Lovren, Markovic, Moreno, who can't cement a place in starting XI.

Simeone didn't spend a lot money with high wages players, yet can win the La liga and into CL final and despite can't challenge the title this year, yet not plummeting like what Liv did.

Difference is the manager knew how to spot good players and instill a good team formation, strategy to defy the odd.
Same with AW and Klopp as well.

Ya totally agree. Just like real world, the rich get richer.

I think FSG is a decent owner, clear off the debt from previous nightmare owner. But they are new to football, they let ppl in LFC run the club with minimal intervention, they also did throw out 100m worth of transfer fee (they could have keep some). Alright they are the one who pick BR but his football is really impressive at SWANSEA.

100m could have get FAB + COSTA or 2 other world class player but ppl in LFC opted for squad depth. And BR is really unlucky to have his main striker STUR injured for almost the whole season but he opted to play STERLING instead of playing the 2 striker he bought. But i think LIV see enough of what BR can do, if KLOPP or RAFA opportunity come in, i think LIV should take it.

I know Costa doest want as he rejected us in 2013 and only move to Chelsea 2014. Fabregas was always out of our league once he move to Barcelona.

i do not believe fab is out of our league, he's not messi. if pep went to burnley and given $$$ to sign fab, do you think fab will 100% not join? br reputation at europe is unproven, add this season liverpool performance in ucl and his treatment of balo...how many top players willing to play for br?

Then get a manager can attract big name or good players.

Simeone, AW, Klopp and to certain aspect Rafa have good CV recruit good players that being interested by big money spender club afterwards.

We are no longer one of the finest European club anymore. We need to get this straight. We are the tier 3 club in the European league. Its proven on the CL draw. Some might laugh at Arsenal fir getting the 4th position every year(not this year) but there are still in top tier. Reason is simple as they have been challenging the CL every season. So yeah I think Fab is definitely out of the league.

To get Pep to join Burnley is not something realistic but I think I get what you mean. I do agree with you that BR is no where near the reputation of a top class manager that can attract great players. You need to win something to get the reputation. If you talk about man management, Rafa is one of the worst but he won trophies. In this world, trophies bring reputation. Thus players will still join that manager no matter how bad he treated a player before.

I think almost 100% supporting BR to be sack in here but unfortunately those fans(who goes in and out the stadium every season were not that convince. They were criticizing fans for flying the banner BR OUT Rafa IN. You just have to get on with it if FSG decided not to sack him unless one of us is a multimillionaire/ billionaire that can afford to buy over the club

First and foremost, nobody knows who orchestrated the banner in the air. It could be a rival fan group, but from what I followed so far, all signs are pointing to a group call Rodgers Out Club. I feel their sentiments and everyone has the right to voice out their dissatisfaction in whichever ways they see fit.

Fans bashing the banner at the stadium because it's a Liverpool ethos that you MUST SUPPORT the club 300% when you go and watch the games. All bashing is confined in the forums and not inside the stadium.

But the way I see it, this tradition is not going to last very long.

Remind me last year Moyes is football genius banner.

Now we have comment, BR is the best man for Liv.
So Liv version of football genius? laugh.gif

Next home game put up banner "BR is the best man for Liv"? laugh.gif

Was having a talk with my buddy (who supports another team), but his comment rang true to me at least. he said that Liverpool needs a manager who has won something (league title mostly), and knows what it takes to win it. it's probably that final push or experience needed by a manager who has won to know how to win.

In my head, someone who could be a potential candidate IF BR leaves Liverpool would be Frank Rijkaard.

but dream on, eh? tongue.gif

James Milner, (good chance), Danny ings (high bet) and maybe kieran trippier (burnley) is to be sought by Rodgers to beef up next season.

good, good nice to know Rodgers is working hard to seal his seat, I mean secure players for reinforcements early smile.gif
