well. TBF i wouldn't really missed Bonucci a lot. We saw the glimpses of his past self against Lazio last weekend. Howedes can be his replacement..if not a better replacement

but comparing player by player, yeah, our defense last season were better. In UCL, Alves is like a different maker...but what the heck, the guy decided to shown
his true color so him parting ways are good for both club & the player
at first i'm kinda frustrated, but came to think about it, this is like a Juve B½ playing Barca in the Camp Nou but still having a better portion of shots/on target compared to em
...so...i'm still optimistic regarding this team

as for Pipita. Well. I understand the frustration. Getting provoked by Barca/Messi fans like that. And no to mention Messi international failure were always kinda "his fault" regarding
to these fans...and he's a former Madridista nonetheless...but he's a professional, and should act like one. Now, idk how long UEFA gonna banned him...
*
Man, Alves...what a disappointment. Remember that article he wrote just before the UCL finals. I thought...wow, hats off to this guy who came from Brazil and really made it in Europe. A month later he said Juve didn't understand him as a player...like seriously..what in the world dude?!

Thinking about what you wrote, maybe I was rather harsh on the team in my first comment after the game. They still need to gel, we've had a bunch of new guys come in over the summer and they will take time to adapt. I need to be more optimistic myself.

Is it me or are the games this season much earlier and at more decent times than...well in the history of Serie A?

Tonight's game is at 6:30pm man. I'll probably be having dinner during the second half haha.

By the way, I hope it's not taboo but I kind of like Sassuolo's jersey haha. Something about the green, black and white mix with the Mapei sponsorship that goes well.

They're not rivals...so it's OK right? Haha

Anyway, hoping for a dominant performance by Buffon and the boys!

same with me. The expectation and "esctasy" prior to the match, combined with a heart-wrenching pieces wrote by Alves...

all of that were gone in a space of 45 minutes...

yeap, even i missed it. As Juve rarely played this early (7:30PM Malaysia time the earliest as i can remember). Open streaming and
we're already 3-1 up in the second half

man. Dybala really lived up to the #10 shirt. Hopefully he will stay with us for a long time and create his own legacy at Juve, instead of
chasing a thick paycheck to English Club or PSG, or playing under somebody shadow at Real or Barca

at Juve, he's the key player, he's the star man, he's the focal point of the team

So far, Dybala seems like a different player from last season; I mean even physically, it looks like he has buffed up a little compared to last season where he really looked like a boy.

He's playing a more pivotal role now; almost like a key figure to most of our goals and attacks. Something about him changed when they gave him the #10 shirt, and I do agree that it would be nice to see him wear it and create his own legacy at Juve with that shirt.

There were so many rumours about him leaving during the summer and I'm sure it will continue for as long as he is with us and scoring goals.

Dybala was immense in the game, but hats off too the forwards, mandzukic, cuadrado did well too. most disappointment was higuan. missed few chances and reluctant to pass when he was surrounded.

others are ok. alex sandro stopped playing when he got unnecessary yellow. matuidi & pjanic runs the midfield splendidly.

no real complain for the starters. bernadeschi/costa seems still adjusting to the team, i hope they can step up as soon as possible.

Zaza became the 4th Italian to score a hat-trick in the La Liga flex.gif

Valencia is one of my favorite club from La Liga..its good to see both of em (Zaza & the club) doing well after a roller-coaster form for the past couple of years

tight & narrow win. But a 3 pts nonetheless

i'd say last season that our closest challenger gonna be Napoli. Now after 5 matchday, the only 2 teams with a 100% record

Quite stoked with our form these last couple of games. Matuidi is really making his presence felt while Costa...maybe he needs a little more time.

Dybala...well...actions speak louder than words so I'm gonna leave it at that.

Hoping for a good performance against Olympiakos; historically we've done well against them right? If I remember correctly, we once scored 7 or 8 goals past them.

yeap. Juve having the biggest win in UCL was against Olympiakos back in 2003/04

last time we meet was 3 years ago in a hard fought 3-2 win, Olympiakos came from behind after Pirlo's freekick to lead 2-1

i'd expect & hope Juve to get a 3-0 win atleast in this tie.

Yeah, after our form over the last couple of games, I too am expecting a solid win tonight!

Would be good if Higuain is back to his goal-scoring ways to give us more options in attack.

Heard that Marchisio and Khedira are back too - wonder how that will affect Matuidi's position, it will be interesting to see what formation and starting eleven Allegri will opt for.

doubt that Max gonna start either Marchisio or Khedira...with both Pjanic & Matuidi having a great form at the centre midfield right now

my predicted lineup

-------------------Buffon--------------------
Sturaro---Barzagli--Chiellini--Alex Sandro
Cuadrado--Pjanic--Matuidi--Douglas Costa
--------------------Dybala---------------------
-------------------Mandzukic---------------

Woke up for the match at half time but was too sleepy to get out of bed...as usual.

Really stoked for the win though; saw the extended highlights and noticed that Olympiakos had quite a few chances up front. Was actually worrying the close shots they had.

Of course happy that Higuain scored a pretty good effort and assisted in Mandzukic's goal. Sometimes all strikers need is that one goal to bring back their confidence and game sharpness.

Didn't see much of Dybala though in the highlights...which kind of makes me wonder actually.

Anyway, here's hoping we are revitalised against Atalanta this weekend!

Atalanta seems to be in a good form right now, and they're on top of their UEL group along with Everton & Lyon after a draw in France 2 days ago

Hopefully that goal would open the floodgate for Higuain

and last i read its Pjanic who're injured for the next 3-4 weeks smh sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif What's wrong with our physician its seems like we've never
get a full 100% healthy squad since forever....

Man, you were right about Atalanta! They fought back after 2 goals down! Kudos to them.

First time we dropped points this season and Napoli has maintained their 100% record. Maybe too early but I think we are in for a tough season.

Not sure whats up with our physician though, I think we have some injury prone players like Khedira.

A bit bummed that we drew but it's good that Higuain managed to score again and new boy Bernradeschi finding this form.

Dropping 2 points is better than a loss I guess.

we squandered 2 goals lead and a penalty in the end. Even against the in-form Atalanta side, this feels more like a 2 points dropped rather than 1 point gained sad.gif

and yeah, the injury bit worries me. We kinda became like Arsenal & Bayern in the past years, non-stop injury list smh...

Most of the top 6 Italian teams(Napoli,Lazio,Inter,Roma,Atalanta,Milan) seems to be in top form right now, except Milan whose in a roller-coaster form
currently. I gotta say this is going to be our toughest season in defending the Scudetto crown
