When is the official deadline day for the market?

Last night I read Juve is making a last attempt on Emre Can.

Question now is...Can or Cannot?
*
transfer window already closed

and IF, a big IF they going for Can, the closest time he can joined Juve is during the winter transfer window..but i'd highly doubt it, seeing that
he's a key player in Klopp's Liverpool, it would require a large sum of funds to pry him away from Anfield

anyway, Lichsteiner once again got omitted from a 25-man shortlist for UCL group stage sweat.gif

My bro in law is a huge Liverpool supporter and he says that Can is currently on fine form but Liverpool hasn't extended his contract for some reason. News is that if they don't do so soon, he can go for as low as 9million in January OR as a free agent next summer. We all know how much Marotta loves free agents biggrin.gif

Anyway, yea I really feel for Lichtsteiner. Same thing last season. But he has reacted with such positivity..wanting to fight harder for his place. I really respect that. That is very professional of him.

In other news...we got THRASHED by Spain. 3-0? In a WC qualifier? Wow...plus we had Veratti playing :/

well, if Can himself wanted to join Juve....the move would definitely happen sooner

as for the trashing, watching the match, the 3-0 scoreline seems modest to Italy. We could've lost by a bigger margin

4-2-4 formation vs a superb Spain midfield, just wtf did the old man Ventura thinking?

It seems our mercato is pretty much done. I'll rate it a solid 8/10. Would be perfect if there's a huge name comes in the last min. (Not Hernanes kinda huge, lol)

And there I saw a few comments stating being a CL finalist is totally irrelevant and it's not even considered an achievement. And I can't even remember when was the last they actually qualified for once lol
*
yeah, they should check out the $$$ gain by juve just by reaching the finals. even loosing the finals can still land more profit than the winning finalist.

3 teams in UCL is very good for Juve if we maintain good run.

Wow I didn't realise the Barca clash was so close.

This is more like knock-out stage kind of a game.

having Matuidi on the centre of the pitch certainly an upgrade over the likes of Lemina, Rincon. Even Khedira

Well, its better if we have a tougher match early. With a couple of our players out injured/unavailable...this is not the same team that drew 0-0 to Barca last season

but the positive one is that, this team probably a little better offensively compared to the team from last season

Players out;

Mandzukic, Chiello, Cuadrado, Howedes, Lich dry.gif , Khedira, Marchisio

My expected lineup;

----------------------Buffon---------------------
MDS/Barza--Benatia--Rugani--Alex Sandro
-------------Matuido---Pjanic-------------------
--Bernie--------Dybala-----------Doug Costa
-------------------Higuain------------------------

or probably Sturaro in place of Bernardeschi with both Dybala & Costa playing a supporting attack behind Golazo

I think Max will play Sturaro instead of Bernadeschi, then Bentacur/Bernadeschi as subs.

i'd expect a Barca win...but, not the level that we literally got "schooled" by em, imagined if there's Neymar on the pitch instead..

MDS out injured...but i'd like to pointed out his "clever" clearance that nearly lead to Dembele's goal. Our defense looks like a down-watered version from last season

we probably missed Lichsteiner eh?

by the looks of it, we WILL NOT make it to the final with this current team..sad but truth. Last season was our greatest chance to win the coveted UCL b4 the implosion in the dressing room

If we thought we would be on par with them again after last season's quarterfinal we must be kidding ourselves! I think last night was the 'real' barca; not the one we played last season.

3 consecutive Serie A wins in a row...kinda amounts to nothing on the European stage.

This one is going to be tough to swallow..

seeing that we missed 5 of our starters..and its against Barca in the Camp Nou..i'd like to be a bit optimistic and they should try to get atleast 4 pts from both Olympiakos & Sporting atleast

bcoz the way i see it, we would ended up runner up at best. No way we can beat Barca by 3-0 in Turin with this defense so we already lost the H2H advantage

Attached Image

statistics against Barca from last season & last night. Yeah, our attack improved, but our defense became worse...just like i said earlier this season

Yes we did miss 5 of our regular starters and that could have played a role in our performance. The game against Sassuolo would be a great chance to recover from this defeat...that is if we win of course.

I was just hoping that we would come out guns blazing against Barca after last season's final. I really wanted to see us take the bull by the horns so to speak. Or in this case by the ears haha.

But it has never really been in our tradition to do well in the group stages, so maybe this is another one of our trends happening again hehe.

It's good to see that our attack has improved; now we need to find a way to plug that defensive leak.

Do you think losing Bonucci played a role? I mean, yes, he was a cornerstone in our defence for years but he's just one man. I always think the team is bigger than a single player - of course there are exceptions of a player literally carrying the team but those are rare and even Bonucci with all his defensive gifts...I didn't really see him as that kind of player.

it's still too early to judge this team. april was peak time for the players, this time we just started. it's fair to say juve being schooled, but take that positively.

it's always fino alla fine. we just started biggrin.gif. new players need to gel in more. current team need to learn how to take advantage of the new players.

I'm still wondering why Barzagli was started instead of Rugani and DeSciglio was put to left back. I prefer Rugani/Barzgli there. No Alves was fine, but bentacur probably too green.

Still upset of Pipita middle finger gesture though ...

well. TBF i wouldn't really missed Bonucci a lot. We saw the glimpses of his past self against Lazio last weekend. Howedes can be his replacement..if not a better replacement

but comparing player by player, yeah, our defense last season were better. In UCL, Alves is like a different maker...but what the heck, the guy decided to shown
his true color so him parting ways are good for both club & the player

at first i'm kinda frustrated, but came to think about it, this is like a Juve B½ playing Barca in the Camp Nou but still having a better portion of shots/on target compared to em
...so...i'm still optimistic regarding this team

as for Pipita. Well. I understand the frustration. Getting provoked by Barca/Messi fans like that. And no to mention Messi international failure were always kinda "his fault" regarding
to these fans...and he's a former Madridista nonetheless...but he's a professional, and should act like one. Now, idk how long UEFA gonna banned him...
