QUOTE(estcin @ Aug 11 2017, 01:22 PM) https://www.theplayerstribune.com/massimili...-the-principal/ He's truly got a way with words.Mr Allegri's afterthoughts after the CL final defeat As we near the weekend, I'm getting quite pumped for the new season. Plus SuperCoppa this weekend! Another scudetto defense will be tough one but I think we're hungry enough. |

QUOTE(estcin @ Aug 11 2017, 01:22 PM) https://www.theplayerstribune.com/massimili...-the-principal/ my favorite line:Mr Allegri's afterthoughts after the CL final defeat QUOTE For me, I look at Paulo Dybala and Gigi Buffon. In a way, they are the symbol of this team. I see Dybala, like a bright boy about to start his first year in school. Buffon, with a World Cup, is about to get his Masters degree. One with his career ahead of him, and one near the end. One who wants to show that he can be one of the greats in Europe. One who is already a great, but wants to end his legacy on top. QUOTE(McF7y @ Aug 11 2017, 03:07 PM) He's truly got a way with words. with all the reinforcement from our challenger, yeah, a tough scudetto race aheadAs we near the weekend, I'm getting quite pumped for the new season. Plus SuperCoppa this weekend! Another scudetto defense will be tough one but I think we're hungry enough. but...with a slim chances of getting that big ear trophy, i'm willing to sacrifice scudetto for UCL. Yes, the Treble sounds nice. But winning UCL alone is like an obsession to most of us Juventini |

QUOTE(noir7559 @ Aug 14 2017, 10:07 AM) what a feeling Wow, quite a harsh article from ESPNFC: http://www.espnfc.com/club/juventus/111/bl...n-loss-to-laziodown 2-0 tied 2-2 only to be denied at the last minute...well...those who scored more deserved it more so gratz to Lazio |

still wondering why Marchisio/Bernadeschi/Costa does not start. And Barzagli on RB? Max clearly has not moved on from UCL final. Barzagli time as starter has finished.
The midfield clearly suffers in 1st half. Lazio keep putting through balls. Lucky for Buffon, he got only yellow on the first penalty. Hope juve can start early this year. have good games with 4-5 goals each opponent. no more 1-2 goals. |

Wow, did we really play that bad?
I saw the highlights but obviously doesn't paint the full picture of the match. Seems like we played better when Douglas Costa came on. Dybala's free kick around the wall looked like an absolute bender!! I thought it was brilliant! But yea we got beat in injury time which was a bummer. I guess the other teams have really strengthened...and well after six years...they're definitely hungry. One positive is that I read that Higuain apologized to the fans and to me that shows that he cares about the results. |

Max is either the biggest troll or he's just a stubborn old man. Despite after securing signatures from both Fede and costa, he still deployed mandzukic n cuadrado on the wings. Anyway, the supercoppa is more like a glorified friendly like the community shield. So, I'm not too bothered about the result other than the players' form
- Barzagli is no RB, and he's on decline - Benatia sux - Cuadrado was such a depression to watch. Someone pls sign him - Khedira + Pjanic = disaster (we need a physical/destroyer CM, badly) - Costa is good on both wings, he can draw out defenders with his play |

I'm still reeling on us missing on Matic Look at how he does with Man Utd now |

Just noticed that we've been linked to a number of players like Wilshere, Fellaini and Matuidi.
Is this panic-buy mode? Aiyaa.. |

Or is he still at the club? |

QUOTE(McF7y @ Aug 16 2017, 11:07 AM) Yea exactly, we need someone to boss around the midfield. Pjanic is the midfield passing/trequartista type..so he's not reliable in defendingI'm not too convinced with the options at hand. Rincon was sold to Torino recently right? Or is he still at the club? Khedira is the box to box type, and also very slow, so yeah, not reliable in helping defense Marchisio is quite similar with Khedira but can also deployed as a deep-lying playmaker, but still, not a ball-winning type of MF Rincon already gone to Torino Lemina already gone to Southampton Asamoah probably moving to Galatasaray(or did he already..im not sure, gonna check it soon) that left only Sturaro as our current "ball winning" MF, but heck, he's average at best..definitely not Juve starters. Probably OK as a backup but that's that As for Matuidi, when i'd watched him in action for France/PSG, he got a similar role with Khedira..but mostly helping the offensive side IDK why Juve desperate to sign him. Maybe for a cover to both injury prone Khedira & Marchisio... as for Wilshire....lol. The glass dude wouldn't lasted 3 Serie A matches without an injury and as much as some neutral & man utd fans keep on slagging Fellaini...he looks like an essential member in Jose Mourinho's squad |

QUOTE(McF7y @ Aug 17 2017, 08:32 AM) Thanks for sharing mate! when we have the likes of Rincon, Lemina, Sturaro in the MF last season, having Matuidi now is definitely an upgrade over themIt's official and I think probably the best of the options they had to choose from. well, we gotta see how Max gonna do regarding the best Juve formation we've no true ball-winning MF in the current team, and the backline seems to be aging & slow...perhaps we could go for a more attacking approach? QUOTE(noir7559 @ Aug 17 2017, 08:48 AM) when we have the likes of Rincon, Lemina, Sturaro in the MF last season, having Matuidi now is definitely an upgrade over them Dude, that line-up with Costa - Dybala - Bernadeschi on paper at least looks really good and like a dream man. well, we gotta see how Max gonna do regarding the best Juve formation we've no true ball-winning MF in the current team, and the backline seems to be aging & slow...perhaps we could go for a more attacking approach? A Team -------------------------Buffon--------------------------- De Sciglio----Rugani-----Chiellini-----Alex Sandro -------Pjanic(Marchisio)-------Matuidi(Khedira)----- Costa-----------------Dybala------------Bernardeschi ------------------------Higuain--------------------------- B Team ---------------------Szczesny(Pinsoglio)------------------ Lichsteiner----Barzagli-------Benatia------Asamoah -------------------Bentancaur(Sturaro)------------------- ---------------Marchisio----Khedira--------------------- --Cuadrado------Mandzukic(Kean)--------Pjaca----- I'm not sure what your thoughts are on Higuain being the lone striker though; while I think he was superb in Serie A last season, he did look a little out of shape in some games, and especially in our CL Final...ugh. I'm not sure if he can cope with balls being fed to him by the likes of Costa, Dybala and Bernadeschi. I youtubed Bernadeschi after we signed him and the dude looks exciting. Nice balance, nice height and good ball control. He definitely has the potential if Allegri knows how to deploy him. Quite tempting to see Bernadeschi and Pjaca on the field together actually; if only they can play on opposite wings. And Pjaca, I hope he will be back to his best by mid-season. I had high hopes for him last season. By the way, we're opening against Cagliari this weekend; still no Serie A on Astro right? This post has been edited by McF7y: Aug 17 2017, 10:11 AM |
