Buffon macam injured..but no official announcement yet..
*
i think its probably due to Allegri think the match already warped up and done so what's better time to gave Neto some match time..eventhough
i think the likes of Pjaca, Cuadrado should've had more minutes instead

footballers have their own ups and downs biggrin.gif

teams today seems able to figure out how to shutdown juve 3-5-2, starting from Sevilla game. On free flowing game Asamoah looks OK, but as he is slow and closed down often, nothing much he can do.

Same goes to Pjanic/Dybala/Khedir these few days. Add that to Higuain not able to find the net, we have a mediacore Juve.

We still have strong wingbacks in Alves/Sandro and BBC, hopefully Allegri can figure out how to make the midfield ticks again. I hope he don't stick too much on the possesive game. Pjaca/Cuadrado are not yet showing their potential, perhaps he should try 4-3-3 some time.

Asamoah of 2012 have every kind of ability to be a great footballer. Power, pace, skills. Now, he couldn't attack, couldn't defend, couldn't dribble, couldn't pass and always losing the ball cheaply

Hence why i'd kinda frustrated when Max put him in instead of Pjaca

as for the formation talk, every Juve fan already crying out loud for that to change. Our 3-5-2 now just sluggish, slow, predictable & counter-productive

Yes. 3-5-3 depends alot on wingbacks to provide penetration and our wingbacks no matter how world class they are are not world class wingers. If Ma wishes to play wings, we need world class wingers not world class fullbacks / wingbacks

I still feel with the players we have we should go for a 4-3-1-2:

GK: Buffon
DL: Alex Sandro (with license to provide width and bomb forward)
DR: Dani Alves (with license to provide width and bomb forward)
DC: Chiellini
DC: Bonucci
MCL: Lemina
MC: Marchisio (when he is back)
MCR: Khedira
AMC: Pjanic
FC: Dybala
FC: Higuain

that's kinda remind me of the successful AC Milan "Christmas tree" formation around 10+ years ago

add Pjaca & Cuadarado in the mix and voila, we've the attacking gung-ho formation from Juve...but having Italian coach in the helm...with their "safety first" midset...i doubt
it going to happen

Recent comments by our previous players are saying that we are lacking dynamism in midfield. I think this is from our performance with Inter and Palermo. I would kind of agree with them actually.

But big match tonight. We need to win and do it convincingly, it would be a morale boost for the players after our Inter and Palermo performances.

Who's watching?

I hope I wake up and STAY awake!

they're right

against Inter, our midfield trio of Khedira-Pjanic-Asamoah got steamrolled by Banega-Joao Mario-Medek-Candreva

Pjanic got played out of position, Khedira spending more time up the pitch and always got caught whenever Juve are defending..and Asamoah, well
i'd described him a few post above. Nullify midfield = non-working attackers. Hence why both Dybala & Mandzukic were very quiet against Inter

against Palermo, our midfield holding much of the ball but rarely doing anything dangerous with em. With the chances we got in the
first half alone the match should've done & dusted at 3-0. But after Pjanic got subbed-off for Asa. Palermo doing all the attacking and
we nearly got punished near the end

i will be watching. If not, gotta wait till morning and download the full match instead to avoid any spoiler laugh.gif

Wow dude, respect to your match analysis skills. I kind of feel bad for Asamoah; he used to be very reliable in holding the ball up and in winning tackles, maintaining possession - but I'm not sure what happened this season.

But it gives good insight in terms of what didn't work and what Allegri can do to improve in the next games.

yes, that's why i said Asamoah used to have power, pace, skill. Evidence was that he owned that left side of the pitch back in 2012-13. After his long term injury, he just
not the same player anymore. We've a glimpse of his old self back on the first matchday vs Fiorentina(hence why Max started him a few matches after that) but his
form since Sevilla has been dropped. Its unfair to blame him alone when most of the team playing averagely..but if someone asked me to named the 3 weakest
point in Juve lineup, its Asamoah, Chiellini & Mandzukic
